Well I pre-order games from time to time, because there is no guarantee that I will have the money for it day one. So why not pay it off when you have the funds to do so? For me it has never been about quantity.
They have made movies, and television shows. Just use some of the same plots. Make it to where he helps civilians and puts criminals behind bars. Then worry about other super powered enemies that come from space to utilize his true powers.
