The Rift is plugged into the PC, the X1 streams the game to the PC, the PC creates a virtual room and sofa, from there it's goes to the Rift.
There, is that enough on topic for you?
Hang on guys, from what i can see, the Rift is plugged into the PC and not the X1, so your streaming from the X1 to PC, then through onto the Rift. There is still need for the PC to do some work creating the virtual room and virtual screen, plus is there any sort of headtracking going on?
Rift's minimum spec equates to a Gtx670, which is still a pretty decent gpu.
"did she crash, is that why people are laughing?"
No Phil, they are laughing at the video showing a woman sat on a real sofa with a VR strapped to her head and playing a game, in which she is playing a game while sat on a virtual sofa, they are thinking what's the point.
I dont get this partnership, so you still need a beefy PC in order to stream to the Rift?
The tumble weed is tumbling after that announcement.
Ahhh, Croydon town centre, a true paradise.
Homer Simpson springs to mind.....

Who the hell disagreed with you???
The mind boggles.......
The G29 has been designed with GT7 in mind, i mean look at the jog dial and up/down buttons, just like the DFGT a wheel designed for GT5 or GT6(cant remember which)
I fully expect GT7 to be announced at E3.
I have been using a device called CronusMax for using my G27 on PS4(does work on X1 as well, not tried it yet though), works really well without any lag, only downside is no force feed back as yet, but the devs say they are working on it.
What if i want one for PC & PS4?
Edit: just found this on the website " G29 Driving Force also works on your PC using Logitech Gaming Software"
EDIT:Check out the specs as well, the G29 is the ...
I had a choice of buying the new Batman game on PC or PS4, but in the end i went for the Steam version at £35. PSN wanted £55 for the standard version, that's a full £20 more expensive.
Unfortunately, streaming is the future of console gaming whether you like it or not, i'am pretty sure all the major console makers are paying particular attention to the Playstation Now beta.
Didn't Blockbuster rent there games for a fiver but over a week? Can't remember now, been so long.
£9.99 is a good price for 30 days though, but yeah, you are right, £4.99(depending on game) for two days is excessive, £2.50 sounds about right.
Loving the beta though, it's fast, no lag.
As always, being ea, there is bound to be some BS attached with it, like it always being online, full of microtransactions or making it third person.
I loved the first one, one of my top ten games of all time, but i stopped buying new ea games last year, so i'll wait at least a few weeks after release.
I feel sorry for the peeps that lose their jobs, but places like Game have to go, i cant stand them, they overcharge for new games, there pre-owned game prices are nearly the same as new games, i haven't bought anything from them since i bought my PS4 from them on launch, way to expensive.
Looks outstanding on my 60" sammy oled.
You're kidding right? There has been no X1 AAA exclusives since november last year, 8 months ago, this year so far Sony has had three big hitters in The Order, MLB 15 and Bloodbourne, i would call X1's line up weak so far for 2015.
Makes me wonder to, if they are showing heavy hitters like this before E3, what else do they have for the show, got a feeling they are gonna have a few megatons during the show.
Here's hoping for GT7 and The Last Guardian for starters.
I was just thinking about Pixar that watching the vid, amazing.
Wow, that looks amazing! Me and my little lad are gonna love this, roll on next spring.
Games like Project CARS, Elite:Dangerous and Alien Isolation prove that VR works and it works very well.
I have had the privilege of owning a DK2 for nearly a year now and it has changed the way i game forever, i dont think i can ever go back to playing racing/flying sims on a flat screen again(Here's hoping GT7 has Morpheus support), i cant say much for Morpheus as i have never tried it, but the PS4 was built with Morpheus in mind, so it should work to it's strength...
