""VR is a gimmick. I remember when cinema 3D was a fad for like a couple of years and it is still not comparable to traditional 2d viewing. Gaming is always about you and the controller and things like VR and motion control is only that, a nice novelty."
Who says you have to wave your arms around like a numpty to enjoy VR? For Elite:Dangerous i use a Hotus joystick, for Project CARS i use my T500rs wheel, for Alien:Isolation i use my DS...
I wouldn't worry much about it, when i first got my DK2, i was green to the stomach, a few headaches, but now i'am use to it. I remember the rollercoaster stuff making me crazy dizzy and feeling sick, i tried one yesterday, nothing, i felt fine.
Your body will adapt.
Like with all gaming, you need to be sensible and take breaks at the appropriate time, if you feel sick in VR just take it off and wait 15 mins.
Sounds like that comment was made by a person who has never tried VR.
I have spent hours flying a ship around the galaxy in Elite:Dangerous, or driving the rain soaked Nurbergring in a F1 car on Project Cars, i have also had the crap scared out of me by a Xenomorph in Alien:Isolation, let me tell you, it is a massive game changer, those types of games especially driving games i will always favour playing in VR. I recently got Forza 6 but sim racing on a flat screen is dull as...
Yep, truly a refreshing game in a world full of brain dead bro-shooters.
One of my GOTY contenders.
I think the main factor is the amount of games being released, I currently have, Untill Dawn, GeoW Remastered and Forza, with FIFA just around the corner and The Uncharted Collection soon after that, while later my gaming needs will have Battlefront and NFS. I just dont have time to spend time on one game no matter how good it is.
Devs want quick money, now a days, in their eyes it's quantity over quality. You can look at ea with FIFA, Konami with PES or even Activis with...
I paid around £270 for my Rift DK2, so anything around that price is good.
Hell yeah, grew up playing Dizzy on my Speccy, would love a new Dizzy game.
"Yup - if only they could sort out the proper licensing too, it would be perfect"
And the Master league
And the transfer system
And the lack of computer controlled fouls
And the embarrassingly cringeworthy commentary
And the overall p155 poor presentation
And player animations(players still move like robots on speed)
Lack of leagues and teams around the world
Those are the many reasons why PES will nev...
No one is forcing you to play with female players, you play the game the way you want to, those who want to play with female players can if they wish. i have loads of female friends who love the idea of women's teams in FIFA.
Jesus, if that vid is anything to go by, then the Uncharted Collection looks bloody amazing, buttery smooth at 1080@60.
Yep cant wait for the 9th of Oct and the 4th Dec.
You guys just sent me back in time even further, i remember running(jesus running) to my local newsagents and grabbing my monthly copies of Crash and Your Sinclair, i used to read all the reviews while a demo from the cover tape loaded up on my Speccy.
Great and sourly missed days.
I feel the same way, i haven't touched it in a week or so, got to mission 20 and just lost interest, kinda boring if i'am honest. The resource management and base extension is tedious and unnecessary and something i have no interest in doing, the story is non-existent, the scoring system is also unnecessary, and Kojima is so vain that he has to have his name plastered all over the screen whenever a mission is completed, WTF is that about?
Really dont understand how th...
Would make sense to head off the inevitable price drop on the X1 over the Christmas period.
Still think the PS4 will do fine without one though, with a hand full of exclusives and big multi plats in it's armoury, it will still sell like hotcakes.
Any of you guys know how this controller would work outside of Steam, i'am thinking of Origin games for example FIFA, Battlefield etc etc.
Currently using a DS4 with DS4windows.
My mates old cat would actually curl up on his fat PS3 for the warmth while we were gaming, occasionally the PS3 would beep at us and shutdown due to over heating.
Your screwed bud.......
Hopefully GT7 as well.
Apart from being on the short side, i really enjoyed it, i did pay £35 for which due to the size is not worth it, but damn it is a fine game.
There are alot of "Still behind FIFA" in the review.
@fried
I have been using the DK2 for over a year and just recently had a eye test, my vision is exactly the same as it was last year.
