Its a new BETA so you need to DL it. It only contains one map unlike the previous beta's 3 maps which is the Turbine Concourse and Corinth Highway.
The beta is great. The graphical improvements over the previous beta were big. The Frozen Dam map is more colorful and it now runs at 30fps constantly without frame drops.

Yeah, the gap is still 3mil. But we need to consider what things MS released last year like a new Halo and Kinect. It's surprising that 360 didn't widen the gap.

Yeah, I forgot about GT5. It probably balanced out the sales Kinect and Reach gave the 360.

Yeah, Dark Souls will be awesome. As long as the game isn't gimped being multiplat, I don't have any problems at all.
Getting a game to run at max resolution, AA, texture filtering doesn't require 2 grands. You can run most games at max by just spending around $500-600. Spending 2 grands will give you dual to triple LCD displays with SLI-Crossfire setup and I doubt most of us would spend that much money.

"Bring more Dark Souls". Is it just me or the Knight shown in the trailer looks like the Knight class in Demon's Souls with the Flute armor. The gameplay is somehow similar to Demon's Souls with new gameplay mechanics like how the Knight stabbed the eye of the Dragon and also the "Blue Phantoms" will be somehow returning("Light Phantoms?").
The graphics definitely trumps over Demon's Souls. Now the only thing I want From Software to...
Killzone 3 will definitely look better than Rage console version. There is no denying it. I will reserve my opinion about the PC version of Rage once the game is released.

MGS4 and the early PS3 exclusives like RFoM weren't optimized to use the PS3's SPUs that's why there is a huge jump between R2 to R3 and I expect a big jump from MGS4 to MGS5 if it is still exclusive.
Technically, most games uses 100% of a console power but having better framerate, graphics, physics etc. has something to do with optimization. You can write a loop that uses 100% of a console power but it is still a loop that does nothing.
Let the game speak for itself. We'll see if it really harness the power of the PS3 in the upcoming beta.
