MS goes where the money is at. Every company does it so it doesn't surprise me one bit that MS and Sony are trying to go after the casual market.
What made Sony ahead of MS is that they are pursuing the casuals and at the same time doing what they do best ever since the first PS. Delivering great games of different genre for every age. They deliver LBP2, UC3, R3 etc. while they go after the same market as MS.
"After twenty seven years in development, Gran Turismo 5 turned out to be 'alright'. Time for Microsoft to step in and get Turn10's Forza 4 back as the number one 'serious' driving game."
How in the world did Forza 4 became a "serious" driving game? It doesn't even have proper physics compared to GT5 and even has a replay function. You cannot just replay yourself out of a crash in a real-life "serious" race.
Halo 3 isn't the best selling exclusive. Wii Fit is. Just saying.
sales!=quality
sales=supporting the developers
sales=amount of people who bought the game despite the hate it garnered from fanboy sites and reviewers.
sales=debunking the theory that ps3 owners doesn't buy games
Isaac is a space marine? I thought he was an "engineer". Anyway, he usually wears the Engineering suit not the "Space Marine" suit.
I think atmosphere and gameplay for both games can be a preference. I prefer the "no-hope" like alien invasion feel of Resistance compared to Killzone's semi-realistic gritty warzone.
For the weapons, KZ1 had secondary fire on some weapons. Why remove it from the sequels?
Didn't Nomura said that only characters from main FFs will be included. I doubt Genesis or Zack will be included because CC can be considered a spin-off title like After Years, Dirge.
I always thought in my opinion that Resistance games are better than the Killzone games in terms of story, atmosphere, unique weapons(secondary fire, too bad KZ2-3 didn't have it) etc. excluding graphics and characters(I haven't seen anyone on the Resistance series that can even compare to Visari).
I cannot wait for the game. I'll just keep replaying Demon's Souls(and LBP2) until the game arrives.
"Crappy storytelling, unbalanced multiplayer, short campaign etc."
Let me get this straight. You assumed that all of the above are true but haven't played the game yourself.
I don't know about the story because I haven't played it but I doubt that it's that bad as most reviewers made it to be. Some reviewers even said that the story is "epic" and in no way "lackluster". I think that KZ3 just had a lot of mixed...
No Valkyria Chronicles? No Flower? God of War 3?
I think PD are focusing on turning some Standards into Premium also fixing some of the games "shortcomings" pointed out by the community.
I've seen children's deaths being depicted in japanese anime, movies and some video games. Why complain about it now when things like that already exists in many forms of media for a long time including video games.
How about the exploding babies in Dead Space 2? I guess those are children's deaths right.
If homebrew didn't come with the problem of piracy then there will be no problem supporting it.
Enabling homebrew usually also leads to piracy thats why many people are against it.
@Dante112
Honor among thieves huh?
Yeah, I probably didn't purchased and experience Castlevania LoS, Demon's Souls, Metro 2033, Crysis, GT5, Amnesia etc. if i did that.
TM's chance of flopping is low. It can score a decent amount of 8s.
He's just trolling for attention.
They can already achieve that if they improve the RemotePlay feature between NGP and PS3 also by making every PS3 game compatible with the feature since the NGP isn't deficient of inputs compared to the first PSP. The problem is that I haven't heard about RemotePlay on NGP other than Kojima's "dream game".
I actually want a Halo TPS. It could be a very unique and quick-paced TPS that is different compared to Gears and Uncharted.
@malandra
MS has 343 possibly making it.
