not being able to connect or lag is normal but losing online data etc is just crazy

Yeah it probably is. I mean they would be fools to either not use it(ms has probably already given them massive offers to continue direct x support?) or create their own api that does a similar thing(creates even more fragmentation)
this was originally a kinect 2.0 game kinect 1.0 didnt work at all for the most part and i dont have faith in kinect 2.0 or other broken stuff ms sends my way

Look up mantle api. Its going to change things in a big way and dx will be history in a few years imo
I think its linked to the mantle api thing. Ms's dx 11 isnt that great and doesnt give devs that much control of the end users hardware. Ms's os has been quite lacking and theres a predictable pattern of good one and then a bad one is released so the next one looks good. All of this holds back gaming in general.

dx 11 is crap. Ms uses it to keep control of the market and force os upgrades on its users. It also doesn't give devs that much hardware level access to the end machine so performance is nowhere near where it should be.
If dx 11 was so good (which it isnt) why is steam making its own gaming os? and why is amd making its own api(which they are allowing nvidia to use too)? dx 11 is crap ms has been the bane of gaming for gaming for too long
