What the hell are you on about? intels have apus aswell but dont put as much resources into it as amd. My i5 2500k is an apu(a cpu and gpu onto a single chip) why do you think motherboards have hdmi and other ports?
There are more than one type of setup. My gaming rig has a dedicated gpu wth a normal apu(most if not all cpus these days have a gpu on them aswell) and the rest of typical components. However my media rig uses only a 3570k and no dedicated gpu as its an apu good ...
with apus performance is dramtically increased by lots of fast ram
This guy obviously has no idea how apus work
sony funds those studios because they are exclucives and are unique games. Lets say around the time those studios began exclusives where hypothetically banned by law. DO you think the studios would still exist? and if you think they did do you honestly think they'd be as great as they are now(advanced motion capture tech, hollywood actors involvement)?
What games exist on pc that match heavy rain, god of war, uncharted, the last of us???? in terms of production values they are amazing. Ive been heavily pc gaming for the last 3 or so years and havent really come across anything that matches sony exclusives.
My bad, i thought you were referring to ssds hybrid drives are the isnt that great either.
I got my 256gb 830 series samsung(pc boot drive) for about £130 so it isn't as bad as it once was.
At least we have options but most people wont have a strictly download only game library so 500gb at 5400 rpm is more than adequete.
@ steve notice my use of currency choice
Ssds arent prone to failure there was only controversy related to ocz ones due to the poor firmware but they can last over a decade unlike mechanical hdds which have lots of points of potential failure and have a life span on average of roughly 3-4 years.
Ps the drive you pointed out, is sata 2 which is old and has max reads and writes of around 60 and its size is 15mm, so it won't fit.
in what world are people living in when they expect an ssd in every ps4 which would effectively double the console price
lol thats my quote of the day
7200rpm 2.5 inch drives are pretty non standard. So you will most likely pay alot for it.
It really isn't laughable. The difference the higher speeds equate to isnt much and the extra vibration heat etc isnt really worth it. Plus 7200rpm are standard for 3.5 inch mechanical drives not 2.5!
ssds and faster hdds are always an option and if an extra 5 seconds is really(yes ssds would give much greater performance but isnt really worth it when most people simply buy blu ray games)
@ =lucas yes i have replaced the hdd in my ps3 for a whisper quiet...
yeah hearing snake talk now is going to make me cringe
consoles exclusives are important and need to exist. The best imho come from sony first party there simply arent games like heavy rain and god of war because pc devs etc wont take a chance on them.
The last of us is such an epic game
Apparently theres going to be a card released after the 290x thats much faster.
There are 4k monitors/ tvs fairly cheap look up the seiki 4ktv.
Personally i still think 1080p gaming is where its at but havent actually seen proper 2k/4k gaming.
the r9 290x is going to be £400-£500 while the titan is around £800
no such thing as too much
mantle and steam os are going to take it further!
rage and doom bfg edition show that lol. He's a relic and does know more about programming etc but for him to talk up dx and say how relevant it is in a time where major parts of the gaming industry are moving away from ms(steam os mantle etc) means he's probably being paid by nvidia(are incredibly but hurt by amd tech in consoles and have made an insane amount of bs butthurt comments) and ms(ms has a long history of this sort of business practise)
