I finally got my mother to try out my new 3D set. Word from the wise.... wip3out HD is NOT the best game with which to introduce people to 3D. She nearly puked on the spot. It was awesome.

Worst Demo EVAR!!!
First you download it, then you install it, then you wait for it to load, and just when you think you're about to race, you get an unskippable promo video that seems to go on for about half an hour. Then you finally get to racing and the steering is completely unwieldly and heavy, the graphics (at least from the night time play) haven't progressed much from NFS Carbon and it generally just plays like a PS2 game.
Then after that ...
ill get it if they do manage to make some kind of real games for it that work well, and when the price drops. Significantly. Alot.
Nor is move, or the wii, or a dual shock controller. There is always some inherent lag in any digital input.
I think kinect looks funtional now, which honestly suprises me. Looks to have the same kind of latency as Move, which MS need to be congratulated for. From what ive seen though of the software, the Move has kinect beat. Ill admit dance central looks trendy and will probably sell out the wazoo, and kinectimals looks to absolutely blow Eyepet out of the water. But R...

Well i just re-purchased Resistance 2, and Im near the end of it again.
Even though it lacks certain things (WEAPON WHEEL!!!!!) it is still a tremendous game. The thing I really like is that it took them a year to release a really polished and full featured game that looks stunning, and you CANT finish it in a 5 hour sitting. CoD, MoH, Im looking in your direction!
I hope that Insomniac realise that some consumers really do appreciate the value they cram...

The only people whinging about current 3D tech haven't tried it, or are playing parrot to a software giant becuase they think its cool.
I wear specs and putting the 3D glasses over them is hardly noticable.

Dude, I just finished MOH on the PS3. While I cant compare it to the 360 version because I prefere the PS3, there is a fair bit of tearing. Also the frame rate does suffer some hits.
Not to the point of detracting from the game, I thought it was an awesome, if short, experience, but dont spout bullshit. You make yourself look bad. Accept the consoles for what they are and move on buddy.
So why should we be interested?
Make the animations, textures, lighting, sound as good as Uncharted 2 and then we'll talk.
The trailers for AC2 put me off. I was like.... "Aren't you missing a few dozen frames of that jumping animation?"
