Right? I thought so when I saw the trailer! Turned to the wife was like, holy crap they're making the exact game I pitched them! Was a fun moment.
Yeah nah absolutely my thought too. It's not exactly a hard leap to come by that idea I'm sure loads of people had it, internally in the company as well as fellow NMS fans. I'm just chuffed about it. :) Hope they do it justice!
In 2019 Hello Games sent out an article saying they were looking for ideas for their next game.
I was drunk and playing NMS and loving it, and I gave them one. Never got a response. Here's my actual email, copy/paste no edit.
"Hi Hello Games,
Love NMS, Day 1 all the way through. You guys are an amazing team and thank you for what NMS is today.
Read an article saying you were exploring new ideas beyond NMS.
Here's one. A plan...
No doubt we'll see that debut with RE9 in, likely, spring 2026. I reckon it's probably being built together, and just starting production.
Which means they gotta have something else final on the old RE engine that's already fairly decently done to bridge the 3 year release gap. Something late next year I reckon. Doubt RE5. Spinoff. Rev3 or maybe, just maybe, a quick cheeky lil Code Veronica. Maybe.
FAN. TASTIC.
Wtf do people think a REMASTER is?
This remaster went way above expectations. New models and textures for everything, switching between old and new, it looks gorgeous and a beautiful package.
You want a remake, go play Anniversary. There's literally a perfect remake of the original already, and it had a HD port.
This is to play the originals on modern consoles, touched up gloriously. Since, you know, you can't actually play PS1 games on modern TVs.
Not sure why you got the downs. We'll have all the amazing FF7 we can ever need and then yeah, I hope sincerely they move on to 8 & 9.
( for sure is coming I sense. 8 I adore but there's no question it's the black sheep of the family. I'm not sure if Enix can see enough dollar signs in it to justify the spend. But fingers crossed!
Damn they showed everything and it was all incredible! Spectacular. Blown away.
Barely use it. 80% of the games are crap indie products and 15% are middle of the road.
Capcom has shown that games can be ported into VR. RE4 is a third person action adventure they're adding a FPS mode to in order to port it as is, with more features, into VR.
We don't nessesarily need a stocked catelog of tripe As - I get it's not worth spending millions for game dev on a small install base. But any triple A flatscreen game can be ported into VR without breaki...
All y'all crying OVER MGS4 like it's totally not called Vol 1. Where you think it is? Vol 2 brah.
Was wondering how they were gonna do parries and it looks like they nailed it. Will have to keep knife in hand for it but better than a button prompt. Honestly looks incredible and worth the headset entirely imo. So excited!
Only because if it was on Xbox, it would also be a shit game.
LoZ: Tears of the Salty
Hey! I.. we.. You can't...
...
Yes.
Thanks for your input champs! Chomping at the bit to try it out. Game and controller first, with an eye kept open for a good wheel down the road. :)
Question for the fine folks enjoying this delectable title in VR2.
Is it worth playing with just a regular controller, or is the steering wheel an absolute must-have only option for this bad boy?
I've been keeping my eye out for a wheel but they aren't exactly cheap, along with the game, and the VR2 was a wallet bomb in itself (just for a few, albeit excellent, titles so far).
I don't know where people are getting this "only sold by Sony" thing I'm in Canada and I saw one in a display case in Walmart yesterday, and I bought it on launch at a Best Buy.
Resident Evil 1 Remake? Resident Evil 0? Outbreak 1/2? Revelations 1/2?
pffft.
Dying for them to add PSVR2 to RE2 and RE3 Remake. Take my money just do iittt
I hear you guys but IGN ain't wrong on this.
I'm a massive RE fan since day 1, loved them all, and Village VR was unbelievable.
RE4R is an incredible game and, like the author here, I've had massive amounts of fun with it in VR. It looks incredible and the combat is tight and amazing.
However, it's immersion and interation with the world is hugely scaled back. You barely interact with anything, even basic things like doors and cabinets which were ful...
