Some will want Kinect to use full function of the console. Other don't want to use it or spend the extra cash thats ok.MS will sale the console with n without now that changes arebeing made theres still more to come.
That what is not clear, if there's no internet then how does the console know to not allow access to play the game?
I thought I clicked on the Xbox One button and not PS. I think they need hear other people confirm their reason to purchase PS and not Xbox One and do some lip service. Internet sure brings out the bull in people. I said it once and I will keep saying it who the heck cares what console you buy and why,the key thing is its your money do what you want to do.

Hey I still say buy the one that works for you and be happy.Stop all the bull,you get what u pay for not only in video games consoles but in life.If you love/hate MS so much that u feel u are getting screwed this time around then don't buy it.Yes I will be getting Xbox1 and if u think I'am wrong then guess what its my money and my choice and that's all that matters.Game on!
Digital is taking over and MS is not the leader just another joining the digital age, for now your kinda safe with Sony but its coming sooner than u think Sony has been using DRM in their products for years and received the same ripping that MS is getting now, the time was not right then but with all the digital products on the market today its ripe now. So yes Sony is waiting and watching for their chance to join in. Enjoy for now. Pay to play is the future. There's no escape.

I don't think price is a big issue between consoles it seems its still about the DRM and 24hr check in which is setting them apart.If you worry about keeping your console connected to the internet and not having the freedom do what ever with your game disc then go with the other.For me it don't matter. I could be happy with both consoles.

When the dust stops flying it really don't matter what others think if u decide to go with DRM or not,slightly higher price or slightly lower,24hr check in or not,both consoles are about the same when it comes to style points and power.The only thing that really matters is having fun with whatever console u choose.
If I do get this console it will be my last because they are heading the wrong direction. Price to high to become a brick without internet service. Between phone,tv,Xbox live service, an games u never own its just to much.
1. Whatever games are installed on your machine can be played whether your signed in or not.
If I disconnect my internet from the console I can still play those games on the hard drive without having to worry about the 24hr check in? or will I still get error message saying I need to connect the Xbox One to the internet to be able to play the game on the hard drive after the 24hr period.

Internet may not go anywhere but who would want a game brick if suddenly you find u can't afford to pay for the internet service? U could just watch a movie on disc or watch tv or even go on a covert mission to a friends house to update the console every day. What is the reason for this move from MS. Sorry it makes no sense to me.

As long as I can hook up my over the air TV and Receiver I am happy. MS has said that Over the Air TV will work so Iam good.

Both consoles are about the same when it comes to power.
