Uhm, watching that video was way the f*ck better than reading a three sentence post by Mark Reign! Why wasn't this video the main story? Thanks solidt12.
Damn, why is everyone making such a big deal out of this? So instead of 2 more players you get 16, get over it. Some of you need a serious reality check. What did you guys do 5 years ago when a good multiplayer game meant 8 on 8? In my opinion you guys are acting like spoiled children (some of you might actually be). Just be happy the game was even made and please stop worrying over who has the "best" console, and mind your own buisness.
Interlaced video does have some disadvantages in comparison with progressive. It's prone to causing "artifacts", which look like a kind of "comb" effect, especially in slow motion or in still grabs from moving video. The effect to the viewer is quite distinct. First, the image doesn't flicker as much as it would if it was a simple 30 FPS progressive scan. This is because, to the viewer, it looks as if they are seeing 60 frames per second. Of course, what they are actually...
I'm not "heralding" the PS3. I just thought it was interesting. It just means that the PS3 has the technology to accomplish this. The only place the 360 will be driving anyone is to the bargain bin in about a year.
Yeah, I heard about this. Bill gates had a secret destination programmed in to drive 12 yr old 360 fanboys to his house and place them in his bed.
If having an HDTV that lives up to it's full potential (1080p) puts me in a strange world then you might as well start sending my mail to OZ. I'll be sitting on the "Yellow Brick Road" enjoying my Blu-Ray's.
Most people don't understand High Definition at all. They will only see that a brand new HD-DVD Player costs $169.99. This alone will sell alot of units I'm sure. I feel sorry for all of the people who buy this and never get the full 1080p experience (and yes, progressive-scan makes a difference). The worst part is that they will buy all of these movies only to watch Blu-Ray put HDDVD out of commission. Sorry Toshiba, but ever since I bought your brand new (1 1/2yr ago) upscaling DVD player f...
lonestarmt, you started your comment off by saying, "I won't go into it, because I can go on forever on all the unwarranted hate on spiderman 3, so I won't go there". You then proceed to explain how great it is. Huh? Anyways, your absolutely right about Sony choosing a guaranteed hit to include. However, almost everyone I know, said they were disappointed in the film. Therefore, I know there are people who would rather be able to choose the movie they get. I guess it's hard to argue...
I just signed up with N4G 2 hours ago. i posted this news tip a few minutes later and it's already up on the main page! Sweet.
No one even sounds disappointed by this delay. Is it because no one cares about the game, or the fact that all of these other games are coming out anyway. The only people that should be angry are the people who pre-ordered. That's why I don't pre-order.
So, it's starting to sound like Gamestop is the "Wal-Mart" of video game stores. Just what we need.
Jk, but I do think that the game developers are putting this out there just for hype. Just rent Taking Lives, that should do the trick for ya!
I didn't even think about that factor. That would be awesome! Or they could use it in other Bonus Features... For example: in blooper reels have a camera on the cast laughing at the blooper as well. Sweet.
Call me a cheap skate, but @ $400.00 I'll have just enough to buy the system (due to rent, bills, etc.) till my next paycheck. It gives me an opportunity to snag a console before they all start flying off the shelves with the Holiday Season coming. I'm hoping I can last a week playing demos and watching Blu-Ray's I've already put in my Netflix Queue until my next paycheck. You feel me?
I agree that the 40gb is a great buy, it's probably the smartest move Sony has made for the PS3 to date. I hope I don't sound greedy, but I would prefer if they gave you an instant $30.00 rebate on ANY Blu-Ray at time of purchase. I hate Spiderman, I guess it's easier since Sony owns the Spiderman franchise right? Oh well, still a great bargain. I would buy it for 400 bucks even if it didn't come with a movie!
I remember I went to Gamestop when the PS3 first came out. The workers all recommended it over the 360. I went there a week ago and the same guys were saying that the PS3 is dead in the water! Talk about no loyalty!
I'm interested to see what will be important enough to have to watch in the "picture in picture" screen while already enjoying your movie. I read in another article that it might show important key scenes that occurred earlier in the movie to help remind you of the relevance. If so, isn't that kind of "dumbing-down" the experience. Too early to say I guess. At any rate, you can't argue with another feature right? Let's just hope they don't use it for product placement/ adv...

This isn't an article I would expect to see on the main page. Best Buy has been offering this package for about a week already. Come N4G, let's stay on track here.
First off, I wanna say that this game looks mediocre on both consoles. Anyways, I'm planning on getting a 40gb PS3 this Friday... I'm getting a little nervous after reading some of the articles posted on N4G today!:
PES 2008 Review: Bad Framerate on PS3, Good on 360
VF5 Review: Bad Framerate on PS3 due too hardware issues, Great on 360
Jericho Video Review: "Framerate slows down to molasses, especially on PS3"- Gametrailer
So, I don't kno...
