Eh, if it's one thing I learned, the people who complain about resolution tend to be the extremely vocal minority. In the grand scheme of things, (while I may not agree with it), parity may not be the worst decision.
Think of it the other way around: Why punish the Xbox owners?
Let the developers make the game the way they want. Who knows, we don't make games, so we have no right to say what they are doing is wrong. Maybe, just maybe, they weren'...
If someone paid me to advertise their shitty game and review it, I'd give it just what it deserves, a shit review.
Really, that's how it should be done, maybe then publishers would pay the developers more to ensure a higher quality product than an overpriced sensationalized piece of garbage.
It'll hopefully get better with DLC... Just wish it wasn't that way, bastards are going to get another $40 out of me... I've invested too much time in it not to... ;.;
Of course is failing to meet the expectations it set for itself! Almost every damn game does! It's called marketing! Every game wants to be the next hotness, so of course they are all talked up.
All that matters is that you enjoy it, it's not easy living up to PR our making a game for that matter. People need to stop nit picking...
It's not really THAT hard once you know what you are doing, and quite frankly it's the best part of the game, it would be a shame of you don't try it!
I agree, gameplay > graphics
Now if only everyone on N4G could agree to that, we wouldn't have such mindless debates where everyone thinks they are experts at making games lol
I miss my SNES
It's a racing game, while I won't knock the people who do like it, unless it is a game like BurnOut, I find them boring as all hell. If I want to play racing sim, I'll just drive my car lol.
Are we really that surprised this is happening to Driveclub? Wasn't the sheer lack of preview content and tight lipped secrecy kind of a tell?
Just not for everyone I guess...
What Bungie should learn is how to reward you for playing their game, put a story in their game that doesn't involve going online and reading an eBook, add more variety to their "quests" (Dinklebot can't be hurt so what are we gaurding him for?), cut strike boss health on half (or at least make unique models for them because ask you do is kill bigger versions of small enemies), have classes that actually have cooperative element (Titans shield is the only thing), I honestly ...
RE4: Kill Hispanics
RE5: Kill Africans
RE6: Kill Chinese
RE7: Kill Caucasians?
Honestly, if RE5 was racist, then black people don't make up the majority of the African population. Don't make it racist because it takes place in Africa.
Sure looks like assassins creed
Haha slippery bar if soap
Absolutely, it's part of the reason why Bioware games are so great. It gets you invested in the characters as well as the game in general.
I don't know... Did we watch the same trailer??
Knuckles Redfield
Well that's just silly. Graphics aren't the only thing that make a good game. More often then not, the greatest games are often the graphical underachievers.
They both run completely different infrastructures, and they both just got out the gate. PS4 is great and all, but take XB1's Kinect away, which could shed a cost of $150, and you'll see that the PS4 in the end is the "more expensive console". In the end, you get what you pay for I suppose...
Also would not go as far as to say "significantly" downgraded. Downgraded alone would do just fine.
You can definitely tell the difference between a 30fps and 60fps game on a 60hz screen. 120hz is nice, but gives everything that soap opera effect, plus can cause artifacts in some games.
Anyway, I don't really care about this whole resolution/fps nonsense, just don't be 480p and run at frame rates comparable to blu rays and I'll be fine.
If you've got a steam account, check out a game called The Cat Lady. One of the best horror games I've played in a long time! Also a very low end game so pretty much anything can run it!
It really boils down to what you use it for. I used my XB1 for it's play to functionality, and my $400 Resogun machine I use for Resogun. As far as media goes though, XB1 is a way more streamlined experience.
Are you guys engineers? Are you actively making games for both platforms? Do you have any idea how they actually work? Knowing the jargon and shorthand of system specifications does not make you experts.
You actually have NO idea how the engine works, how taxing the AI is, how the resolution effects everything else, and clearly take the hard work that is put into it all for granted.
I don't know anything about it, but what I don't do is take what the...
