It's almost overwhelming how strange the world of Death Stranding is, it really is a strange genre of game. It feels like at this point I'm just playing a movie, BUT right now I'm on the side of saying this game is a unique amazing experience that's definitely an acquired taste type of game.
Doesn't bother me. It's not shoved down your throat and if anything it makes the world more believable. It could get worse as the game progresses but for now it's just the one instance

Maybe mediocre is a bit harsh. A 71 metacritic rating isn't a failure in my books. I really wanted to love Days Gone. I just didn't think it met the standard that Playstation exclusives have been setting pretty regularly. I don't think it can stand next to God of War, The Last of Us, Spiderman, Horizon Zero Dawn, and now Death Stranding.
And No Mans Sky sold like a million copies at launch and was a commercial success. Good to know sales equals a great game to you guys! Although No Mans Sky is now a fantastic game...

I ABSOLUTELY HATED MGSV so I'm going in with both brows raised, but its stirred so much controversy I'll compare it to No Mans Sky which was pretty divisive as well. Ugh gross IGN Pluto gave Halo 5 a 4 out of 10 I dont go to them for reviews anymore. IGN Uranus has been my go to as of late.
The argument timo has been that Death Stranding scored higher than Gears 5 and Gears was touted so highly. I personally couldnt bring myself to finish it... or haven't yet. Yet Death Stranding has been labeled a failure by the opposing community.
