Having multiplayer titles day 1, or at any time is definitely good for the service/the gamers/the devs. I'm going to bring up PS Plus not to detract from GamePass, but because that's what my experience is with. Day 1 multiplayer games like Rocket League and Fall Guys, as well as larger multiplayer games given for free later on, Battlefront 2, Battlefield 5, Modern Warfare Remastered, Onrush, really help either establish a player base initially, or bring a player base back to the game ...
The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo and Aeterna Noctis look awesome.
I've been waiting for a next gen patch to play it. I want it so bad. I absolutely LOVED Doom 2016.
If you look at my other comment about PS Plus, it might give you some idea. I don't think it's that crazy of a concept.
Say for GWG, Microsoft gave 1 A-AAA title every month, alongside a few Indie titles. Let's say 1 indie title is well known, the other 2 not so much. For a lot of people, that lineup of games is probably going to be satisfactory, and can hold them over month to month, and can also supplement their own purchases of games.
If th...
I still think PS Plus is a great deal, for myself anyway (especially with the $30 CD keys deals). By sheer numbers of games, GamePass wins, but for someone who can only play so many games in a month, PS Plus is awesome, my backlog just keep getting bigger, and I "own" those games, so I won't lose them when they go off the service. If you have the time to play a shit load of games each month then sure, absolutely, GamePass is a great deal, and probably the best for you.
In another one of the slides it also shows that the revenue from Console sales as a proportion of the total has dropped from about 50% during the start of the PS4 generation to just 20% now. Obviously they still need consoles because they take their own cut from all games on the PS Store, but software sales are becoming increasingly important.
I don't know what their reasoning is in this case, but I still get ads on Twitter about Microsoft purchasing Bethesda. Such a weird thing to advertise IMO. Obviously it gets people's attention, but just seems odd.
Games with Gold value has really gone down hill. Obviously they are trying every possible avenue to push users to GamePass.
Game looks cool, but could anyone else barely distinguish half of what the narrator was saying? Or is it just my hearing? The distorted/low voice is overplayed IMO but I get it fits the theme of the game.
The fact that they don't lower the price of their games, and Nintendo fans say, "It's because the games are so good!", just makes me cringe. Sure, they make some really good games, but that doesn't mean they should never come down in price. Others make great games too, and I can get them on sale after a year or so for $10-$20. I have a switch, and Mario Kart is one of my favorite series, but I still haven't bought MK8, simply out of principle. Nintendo is the most an...
A bit odd that they announced this now instead of waiting for E3 time. They could have announced this and multiplayer (maybe?) and made a bigger splash.
@TheRealTedCruz I guess from the trailers I've seen of this, it has looked very similar. I haven't looked in depth into it. I get Dead Nation mixed with Alienation vibes.
I know it won't happen, but I'm hoping for a GTA set in London, written by Guy Ritchie.
Nah, the game looks cool. Very reminiscent of older Housemarque games. If you're into these types and ever get a PS, try some of them out, they're great.
This is great! I bought the game a couple months ago at Best Buy, but was waiting on a PS5 patch. I can't believe it's been 10 years since I've played it. Damn I'm old.
I feel like games have been coming out at a steady rate, not sure what they expect.
Well. It's hard to argue with that.
The red ps4 controller I REALLY liked. Not the newer version, but the one that had the contrast with the red and black.
Aside from the fact that Tencent scares the shit out of me, I'm interested in what happens here.
Did we already know they were working on another Saints Row game? I feel like there were rumors of a reboot, but no confirmation.
