Some of us are fanboys because the gaming market has led us that way. I guess you could call me a fanboy, as I have no interest in owning any other console besides PS3. I have 35+ games on my PS3, exclusives and multiplat, from all genres. I love games but the price of the device must be justified in other to purchase. I do not want nor do I have a use for a 360. 2 or 3 exclusive games and DLC is not worth 300+ dollars. I use my PS3 for Netflix, Blu Ray, web browser, and games. Since I refuse...
I'm happy for you and those games sound really fun but only problem is I'm not 10 years old anymore. Back in 89 when I was 7 years old sure Mario was fun. But as a 27 year old Kirby and Donkey Kong dont exactly scream hardcore.

I've enjoyed every FF with the exception of XI and I have never given a crap about the the side things you do other then whats necessary to complete your missions easier. You think a FF needs card games or Chocobo races for it to meet your RPG needs? The world of Cocoon and Pulse was just fine the way it was.

I definitely agree with number 2 and 3, but the price wasn't that bad if you looked at the whole package. For instance my Ipod broke and getting a Go was like killing 2 birds with 1 stone, and it comes with Wifi and a hard drive. The 360 Arcade which was almost the same price didn't even have those 2 features for the longest time.
Although I agree physical copies are great, there's something very convenient about having PSP games like God of War: Chains of Olympus, Gran Turismo, Peace Walker, and LBP, and having PS1 Classics like Final Fantasy 7,8, and 9 all on one device that fits right in your pocket.
Apparently I was wrong. I'm sure once an article pops up with a headline that says "Will Forza 4 be better then GT5?" then what I said would've been true.
