People get addicted to all kinds of things that makes them neglect their responsibilities i.e. gambling, drugs, sex, shopping, alcohol, tv, etc. Funny thing is video games are the only thing thats ever blamed as the cause if its involved.
This is pure genius. They shut down the servers to Halo 2. Now how do you convince those players to upgrade to 360? Beta invitations. Makes them feel special. Microsoft is too good at marketing its scary. They've fooled millions of people and they will continue to do so. I don't blame the consumers with tactics like this.
Wow. We still have retards who bring up the wii (sigh) Let me put this in a way you kids can understand. Think of the PS3 as a Ferrari, and think of the 360 as a Porsche and think of the Wii as a Toyota Corolla. The Corolla sells the most right, but that doesn't mean its the best. It just means there is a bigger market for Corollas then the other two. Same thing with this.
Considering everywhere I go 360s are collecting dust, while PS3s are flying of the shelves, Sony is attacking back to back with exclusives, while the 360 has been feeding off MW2 for 4 months now. And yet NPD shows 360 outselling the PS3. Either MS is buying these consoles themselves to make it look better, or NPD really doesn't get every source possible

Why is this talking all proud like they develop these games. They buy exclusives. Any company with as much money as MS can do the same thing. Its easy when you buy. Its really sad if 2010 is the best year of gaming. I got L4D2 few months back on PC. I got Mass Effect 2 as well on pc. Oh, and I'll be getting conviction on the PC as well. I'm 25 and every single person I know has a PS3. About year ago, visiting someones house I saw my first 360 up close and personal and used it and everything. When I was done only one thing came to mind: Why the hell would anyone buy this? What are you complaining about? Assassins creed 2 isn't a complete game for you? Is MW2's 5 hour campaign worth $60? How about Dante's Inferno under 6 hours. I'm talking single player campaigns only, thats the main thing, and multiplayer is second for me. Considering how many games nowadays take less then 10 hours to complete, I'd say you definitely got your money's worth with AC2. And if you wanna continue the adventure, you can buy the DLC. The reason for that is that PS3 owners have lives. We're older, we have jobs we have girlfriends we have responsibilities. I enjoy gaming, but I can't run out and buy a game on the first day of release like 360 owners. PS3 has long legs, it'll sell more over time. Besides if you actually look at the numbers, which I'm sure is hard for you, you'll see that the ratio of game sales even out when you consider the install base between them. So 2 Halos (how original) an arcade game, an add-on to an existing multiplatform game, and a racing game which 80% of the brain dead teenage halo/cod gamers don't even bother buying cause it involves skill. I gave microsoft til at least the end of 2010 before they would release crap, but wow its happening faster then I thought. You see what happens people? As someone who has played playstation since 1995, you always wanna upgrade never downgrade. Thats why its hard for me to get excited about a multiplatform game, knowing its not up to its full potential thanks to the 360. Thats not fanboyism, thats the truth. Im not a fanboy, Ive been gaming a long time and I know quality and value when I see it, and Xbox isn't one of them. I should've probably mentioned I dont only use my PS3 for gaming but I have over 800 songs and a 1000 pics not to mention movies and tv shows. A bigger HD, Blutooth and wifi were something they could've easily added later on on the Elite but chose not to, and still charge $400. I will never buy an Xbox, not because its an xbox, far from it, but because I don't trust MS. They rushed out a brick box that scratches games and melts on you. They want to charge you $150 for a 120 GB HD, where with the PS3 you can get 500 GB for that, I got 320 for $65. They want you to use a special xbox headset, cause they were too cheap to add bluetooth technology, with the PS3 I used any bluetooth I had in the house.
