I think that is a crock of shit when it was originally announced for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. I bet if that were still happening they wouldn't be saying the same thing releasing it on the Xbox 360 nor would it have been delayed.
The Xbox 360 uses the same PowerPC IBM architecture that the Wii U does, so if they have worked with the Xbox 360, then the Wii U is no more difficult to code for.

I'll pass playing DS games on a 1080p screen was enough for me to give up on that notion, the resolution is just far too low and it looks awful stretched out on a big screen.
3DS will be no different, the best way to view and play a 3DS game is simply on the 3DS. Sure it would be a nice bonus but probably one that will go unused because of most people not wanting to endure the upscaling.

It is so outdated, this is the biggest change I want from Nintendo. It pains me knowing the trouble you have to go through just to get your own games back, with everyone else it is as simple as logging into your account and redownloading them but not with Nintendo....

You could say that, I understand but when most these developers are still releasing these games on last generation systems, there is no reason why they can't put it on the Wii U also.
It may not be as powerful as a PS4 or Xbox One but its more powerful than a PS3 and Xbox 360, so there is no reason at all why developers can't take advantage of that when they are still putting games on lesser platforms.

No one complains about paying $250 dollars for a XL. When the Wii U is only $50 dollars more, yea that makes plenty of sense also.
Do I ever get so tired of people saying this, Sony never marketed the PS Vita as a portable home console, journalist did and they constantly compared it to consoles which further lead that misconception.
Sony did market the Vita as being able to play "console like games" and it does, anyone who denies that obviously never played half the games on it because they are very close to console like in quality.

Could not have said it any better myself, so many people are believing them but PowerPC has been around forever and as you mentioned it has been used in older consoles as well.
