the more i think about this the less i want it to happen.
the simple truth is we need xiii to be a modern day epic that is for ps3 what vii was for psone.
we need a story that is more immersive and i like to use the word bada$$. i really enjoyed the more 'down to earth grungy cyberishness' thing a lot more than the wispy european funny clothes stuff in the other ff games and i think they would do well to go back to that dark bada$$ modern world setting. i know s...
appall.
..and concentrate on making one that is really well done.
i doubt either tho
why do we need two different lines? the touch is stupid as an in-between thing. just make it thicker and put the 80 and 160 in it.. i feel like a crazy person. simplify apple. these things all seem overpriced now..
i am glad that they are putting a lot of effort into h3.. and since everything for ps3 i was interested in is delayed (exclusives as well as the 3rd party multi-platform releases that looked worth playing) except cod4 and maybe ass. creed (which i can pick up for 360 instead).. i think i gotta get a 'box and hope games like mass effect and halo come together.
anyone know when these new 'improved' (not going to die, rrod style or whatever) 360s will launch? i guess they may be ...
censoring and ratings that don't make much sense are just the worst thing that can happen to games. adults play games and deserve to have whatever content they want in their games barring some illegal content (say kiddie porn).. so if esrb or whoever wants to rate games for adults only don't ban the games and don't just decide to not approve them for your systems.
..but if it turns out to be so chocked full of detail that it ends up being a short game (like black for instance) then its all for nothing imo. games need to be longer.
..who is content with being a demanding gamer.
with so many kids buying up games that just aren't amazing and aren't polished enough and are certainly not long enough.. and with the whole trend of people willing to spend more $ after games are finished for unlockable marketpace b$.. it only proves to the game makers that they don't have to work as hard and don't have to make bigger games.
i'm just waiting for something worth spending $ on a new system.. it took...
stupid profit$ drive everything.
thats another good example of a game that was impressive.. although it was not as long as i would have liked.. it was fairly massive for its level of detail and depth and was only the beginning of the story that was supposed to go on to be epic as each one became longer and larger with tech advances. but it seems like the love of $ and sales really are driving this kind of gaming bliss into extinction.
when are the devs going to go above and beyond and just spend the time and m...
the length of the experience. so many games being released are just plain too short to make them worth the high price of entry. like i said a little bit above ^^^ there seems to be this new trend where devs want to make shorter games and more of them. oblivion is the only game i felt was a recent release that was closer to my definition of a complete game experience because it had some length to it but even it could have been bigger and more diverse.. or a new game like it could now be bigger...
for me its much more about the customers here.. the gamers. as a gamer i want bigger, longer experiences and could care less if devs have problems getting more stuff on the disks because i'm already at odds with the length and size of games that devs have decided to strive for. i don't want to buy games that i can beat in a day when i know that if they really wanted to they could make games that last longer and expose the gamer to more places and situations.
i always think back...
i sure hope they don't come out saying maybe they were unfair to these games.. i hope some of the new games that roll out and are announced as in dev. in the future blow these games out of the water and get accredited for it with higher scores than this lot of games received and hyped for the innovation they bring to games.. instead of just because they are the only things interesting being released.
high number of sales doesn't mean anything as far as aaa titles. reviews are the only thing to use to judge how good a game is. more sales doesn't equal a better game it equals more dumb (or lets say less demanding) consumers.
and to the people saying 'why are you so hard on games being rated 5/10-8/10 instead of 9/10?' its because for years and years and years we have been using the method of reviews to judge how well games come together as complete experiences and for years a...
civ's were too much the same.. there just isn't enough to do to differentiate yourself from the other nations and such.. i want a lot deeper game.. let me design my own buildings and wonders and units instead of just developing the same stuff everytime. if they get something like civ and spore and sim city and gta and company of heroes and cod and mixed them together and let you design and command things from whatever perspective you want on the fly then that would be cool. i always thought t...
if i can sit through the dialogue and not feel like they made the game for little kids it should be great. kotor was great, jade empire i didn't get into as much.. got cheesy.
this year is anything but overcrowded. maybe overcrowded with lackluster titles that shouldn't be made in the first place.. but these last few months we've seen almost all the exciting games pushed back. the only games left on my list are titles like cod4 and maybe mass effect or ass creed if they can steer clear of the corny and deliver a mature storyline. mercs was one i was counting on to keep me interesting in gaming.. if it proved to be above the normal ea bs. bioshock seemed good from ...
to those of us who played vii it wouldn't be quite the same because we already know everything that would happen. the great thing about ff games is the first time you play it and it reveals the story and plot twists to you and keeps you wanting to know what happens next.
for new players who never experienced it it would be nice.. but really they should just go play the ps version its still amazing (although most people are so obsessesed with visuals nowadays they would probably...
if the game sucks you in and keeps you in then this could be great. the way they are hyping up the size and length of this i think it'll be the most time i've spent with a game since oblivion. i love games that go on seemingly forever but keep you engrossed till the very end.
fighter planes and bombing runs are bada$$
