but imo they really are slacking on the whole part about showing us farther into the future. when do we see what comes after the decent first gen of games drops? sequels to all those games in 2 or 3 years doesn't quite impress me. they need to show more new games more often. where is the future beyond rc ff mgs gt etc?

strange but true. now that graphics are more and more realistic (especially in terms of human characters) the better our eyes are at picking out the tiny details that make them not perfect.
when it comes to regurgitation. why do we need new games every year when they have the ability to just change things like rosters through the download services?

seems like its been 'about to begin' for like a month.
whether they roll out the high end cards first or mid range is questionable but i'm hoping they go for releasing the high ends by the end of the year or early '08 which should drive the 8xxx line prices down.
otherwise its all for nothing imo.. and my $ will stay in my pocket until they get something right. its not worth it to be enthused by gphx card releases.

cpus are still the same. 4 years ago i bought an intel p4c @ 2.6ghz when it was around $2-300. they had more expensive ones out there that were around $1000.
same story today. the e6850 c2d may be under 3, but they still sell qx6850's for over a g. same damn story. you can shell out however much you want. they haven't all become cheaper man.
of course if you know a thing about o/c you can always find the cheapest cpu that has the highest o/c potential and get the...

the ways of the world made it so that it would not succeed as it needed to but for me at that time there was nothing else i wanted to play other than dc.. and i enjoyed many a game that dropped on it.
not really a 'failure' in my book at all just.. 'not a huge success' other than with us hardcore hardware purchasers.
i still think sony will hit a stride eventually and leave 360 in the dust.. but its understandable that this will take time.. in the future i see huge ps3 games that utilize not only cell power but also the blu ray disks huge size.. and harddrives will be usefull as well (which microsoft won't be able to use since the 'core' owners don't have hd's and they won't single them out and say "you can't play this game core ppl" at least so they say)

360 elite + expensive ass add on hd dvd player = same thing as ps3.
stop saying ps3 is overpriced when sony is still losing $ everytime they sell one.

i still run a pentium 4 2.6c northwood overclocked to 3.0-3.2 usually i can crank it up to 3.4 but it scares me to do so..
i have 2 gig of pc3200 ram going and a new agp version of the x1950pro 512 card.. hope i can run this at decent settings in spite of my cpu cause i hate getting stuck with low res low settings on beautiful games..
