The funny thing is- the hate from the media just fuels my fire to support Sony even more. I already own a 120gb PS3 and a 40gb PS3 and although I have no need for it and I'm not crazy about the design, I'm still seriously considering buying a 3rd PS3 in slim form as well as a PSP GO.
Theres no doubt about it, I'm a Sony Fanboy and not ashamed to be one either.
Sony consistently makes the press look like dumb asses. No one likes being wrong and damn has Sony made the media look like idiots time and time again so their pissed. Lets look at some of the presses favorite pieces of germalism(journalism)

but at aprox. 1:54 in the video notice how that blue barrel just popped up like BAM! Also how the water reflects on the surface when swimming under water needs a lot of work, Its a tech demo so I cant knock it too much. All in all Its nice but nothing mind blowing "yet" but it does show potential.

I feel bad for the guy. While I buy more games than I actually have time to play, I can understand how easy it is to invest so much time and dedication to gaming as its a very fun and entertaining hobby. PS3 is by far one of my favorite systems of all time but I think whatever price drop or slim sku that eventually shows up will be to little to late.
Sony has just dropped the ball too many times this gen and MS has capitalized on every missed opportunity Sony has failed to create for itself. Marketing for the PS3 and its AAA exclusives has left me scratching my head, while MS go's financially berserk with crap like Halo Wars but it works.

But you can best bet that it wont be free on XBL. Several devs have tried to offer free dlc on XBL only to have that notion rejected by MS which IMO is pretty messed up given how many people support the 360.
