I would not have bought a lot of the games that I have now if it were not for demos, and I will never ever pay for a demo no matter how extended that they make it or no matter how much they sugar coat the idea of charging for demos. And If their reason is that it cost too much and they want to recoup some of the money in development costs well then maybe they should look at cutting some of the advertising costs since that is were a lot of the development budget goes, and besides I don't ever ...

Sony is one of the best studios/publishers out there. Imo: Capcom, Konami, Nintendo, and Sony (in no particular order) are the best. Though sony appeals to a broad audience by having many different great top quality games that span a variety of genere's with top quality franchises like: killzone, motor storm, god of war, hot shots golf, little big planet, gran turismo etc..., though capcom, and konami make great games that span many generes also. Nintendo mostly makes more family friendly ori...

Actually they were higher when I was younger where a game like after burner 2 for the genesis was $89 when it was released, or nhl stanley cup for the snes was a whopping $100 when it first came out and my brother got my mother to buy that one(which I thought was crazy), and not to mention the neo geo aes console games were at least $250 a game and the aes console itself was around $700 and it was a great console but not worth paying that much just for a game console, there were also a few ot...

First go here for a few definitions on art: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... or http://dictionary.reference... Basically to summarize the term "art" is anything that is created or performed from the ground up from one's imagination or skill. I think that video games qualify as a form of art. I guess if it was not a...

I buy most of my games new or used online because it is more convenient and cheaper than gamestop, not to mention that you don't have to go out on a hunt to find a particular game that you want. Also, you get next to nothing if you trade in a game and they make you take store credit instead of cash. I am way better off just keeping my games than selling them to gamestop(it is just not worth it) and having them turn around and mark up the game at least 500% of what I would get for it from them...

Please tell me what the link is to sugary snacks/drinks and video games? because I absolutely have no idea what it is after reading this article. The researcher(s) who did this study as well as the journalist(s) who reported this garbage used no common sense. How can this study blame video games instead of peoples bad eating habits(which is the real culprit)and lack of brushing and flossing one(s) teeth on a regular basis. What they should report next is on how garbage articles like this insu...

I play games mostly to get away from the garbage of the world. Why would I want that garbage plastered all over the games that I play? Ad's for products are not going to get or influence me more to buy products, as a matter of fact it will curb any slight possible interest(even though ad's in no way interest me in any product in the first place) and will annoy me more and more. Thank You GOD that this is only a temporary thing.

If you live in new york state like I do then yes psn does charge tax on everything that you buy off of their store. The only exception would be free game vouchers.

IMO dlc should be an expansion to an already finished game and not access codes/keys to content that is already on the game disc but is restricted. One example would be burnout paradise, I bought the complete dlc pack(which was $20+tax) on psn only to find out that there were 4 or 5 packs that were 100kb each which because of the size of these packs leads me to believe that these were obviously access codes/keys that unlocks the content that is originally already on the disc, I was a little m...

I buy new games sometimes but most of the time I cant afford buying new games, and when I do buy new games I don't buy them at the msrp of $60 99% of the time and I usually buy new games when they drop in price. And I usually buy my games online because it usually is much cheaper buying online than at retail and you don't have to hunt from store to store looking for a particular or rare game. I don't think that it is right for retail chains to sell a used game for only a few dollars less than...

As a current original psp slim owner that enjoys the hand held, though I prefer game consoles over hand helds anyday so I only really play my original psp slim mainly when I am out or have no other choice on where to get my gaming fix and I own 16 good games for it(15 physical copies and 1 down loadable that I got with the psp bundle that I bought) so I have a decent selection of some of the best games for the psp. I could tell you why the psp go is not doing so good based on common sense. I ...

I never really got into the first assassins creed, but I signed it because based on the fact of not only this game in particular but that this practice in general should not be encouraged for games in general

To be honest I don't think I have bought a game from activision since tony hawks pro skater was released on the n64, and this is even more reason not to by any games(not even used) under the activision name in the future. Before all of this garbage happened concerning activision, I noticed that one of their flag franchises "guitar hero" has so many different versions it puts some of capcom franchises to shame( no offense intended, I like capcom and they are one of my favorite develo...

I am one of the people that are having trouble getting access to psn and all of my down-loadable psn games except gravity crash and blast factor is in demo mode instead of the full game+extra's that I paid for. What I am wondering is if sony ever decides to discontinue this service(psn) for ps3 owners what will happen to all those downloadable psn games that I paid for? are they just going to no longer work because sony decides to not support ps3 in the future(I am not talking about the onlin...

I remember when microsoft use to have a pretty good OS for pc's,the last good window's iteration was xp. But ever since they got into the console business in a serious way(which began with the xbox)their products(software/hardware wise) have suffered as a result beginning with vista. It is a shame though that one of their most successful long running line of products "windows" has not been the same since they released the original xbox. I am still not fully convinced 7 is any better...
