I like the gran turismo franchise and I like the old school need for speed franchise in which I am very happy and cant wait for this new revamped nfs:hp title to arrive, the same goes for gt5. But I think that gt5 will be the superior racing game. I don't doubt that nfs:hp will be great, and I cant wait for both titles to arrive as I am getting both of them eventually. But when it comes down to which racing game as being superior, imo I choose gt5 as the superior racing game. Though both ...

I have something like this that I can play on my ps2, it is an unnofficial fan made compilation of the classic arcade games of mk1, mk2, and umk3. Though if this mk hd collection does come to light I will still buy it if it is not glitchy or anything like that and it has extra's, because the fan made compilation that I have now would be worth buying it if it was not free. Though it would be nice if they also included the arcade version of mk4 also in this mk hd collection.

It is probably force feedback produced by the game from my observation, and thus why he probably lost control of the kart. After all gt5 is a driving simulator and I would not doubt that polyphony implemented force feedback for people using steering wheels to play gt5 to make gt5 more realistic. Have you ever noticed when you are watching a pro racing event on tv that the drivers that are viewed in the cockpit perspective that are driving that their hands are shaky trying to control their ve...

Hasn't microsoft learned from sony's mistake in their failed experiment the pspgo. Coming out with a digital download only console next gen will cause the competition to just bury microsoft's digital download only console, if that indeed happens. If it does indeed happen it will just drive me further away from microsofts disgusting greedy business tactics. When I was shopping for a next gen console a few years ago I considered all three, and even though I initially was turned off ...

Just picturing something like this is unrealistic. Even if they were granted the power to do this by the senate they would have to trample on Americans rights, waste a lot of money doing this, and in this bad economic climate I don't see it lasting long. Not to mention how many court cases that they would have to pursue in which even if they were to shut down one site many more will pop up to take it's place. This is just like the war on drugs, in which the internet is even bigger tha...

I read the title of the article and then looked at kotick's face and had a good laugh. I love these articles that state outlandish things that are clearly not going to happen. Apparently activision(or at least kotick) have been living in a box in their own little fantasy thinking that they will out class one/any of the 3 major league players. If activision is so powerful then why did they felt the need to merge with vivendi a few years ago? because imo it certainly is not the sugar coated...

For the first time since the nintendo wii released, their showing at e3 2010 made me consider getting a wii, and this was one of the games that made me consider getting a wii, though I sort of question it as it is made by activision and not the original great rare developer team that made great games in the past. Maybe in another year or 2 I might get a wii, and that is if they come out with games like some of the games that they showed off at e3 2010. Although any veteran gamer that has been...

Not necessarily, I think it is just a matter of the right people(that are video game fans of course) to direct video game adaptions. I mean how hard is it to keep true to a video game story and then expand on it in a way that wont drift away from what made a video game franchise so popular in the first place. The best example would be the movie silent hill, it was a good video game adaption movie and it stayed true to it's franchises roots and did not alienate non video game fans from enj...

I own ps2 versions of ico, sotc, gow, and gow 2, but I don't own the both hd ps3 edition collections(one has already been released, and one has not been released yet), and I was originally going to pass on any hd ps2 game collections for ps3 that I already have ps2 versions of.

But in the future when they get to about $20 or less I will pick some of the hd ps2 game collections for ps3 up in the future, and besides I don't even have an hd tv yet, so getting the hd ps2 ...

I think the silent hill movie was very good and more than worth an honorable mention as it stayed true to its roots, It played the balancing act of pleasing the fans(I am a core fan of the franchise since the beginning) of the franchise while pleasing non-fans of the franchise and/or have not played the games yet(that is something that is not easily accomplished), it did not stray to far from the source material though my only minor complaint is that the person that played cybil did not look ...

dcbronco:"They just can't compete on cash. Microsoft has over 30 billion in cash just laying around. Sony has maybe 6 or seven billion. But Sony also has over 10 billion in debt and MS has none. MS makes around 13-17 billion in profit every year. Sony was losing money the last few. over two billion two years ago."

Wow, talk about pulling it out from where the sun don't shine. Have you completely forgot about the xbox 360 rrod situation, on how much microsoft...

Because even if you read the first part of the article you will know what I mean.

A quote from the article:
"Sony has cheekily admitted that it will never be able - or perhaps have the inclination - to spend the same amount on pushing PlayStation as Microsoft does on Xbox."

In other words if you read between the lines that sony probably wont blow their money as much like microsoft does in it's advertising of their products. I think sony ...

because when apple cellphone users realize what they have been missing with good games from apples competitors, that they will eventually probably think to themselves " why did I ever waste my money on apple's shovel-ware, when there is clearly superior games from their competitors". At that point most apple users that like playing video games will get a video game console from one of apple's competitors effectively marketing real video games to a larger demographic without ...

Though apple could blossom like sony did with the ps1, but I seriously doubt it. It is a lot tougher making a mark in the gaming industry now than it was back then, though it was a lot harder in appealing to the masses back then than it is now, though video games were great back then and there were less restrictions in general back then than their is now. And if apple thinks that they are going to make any dent(except in their own wallets) in the gaming industry with the type of games that th...

It looks like they are going for a more traditional silent hill approach, which is not a bad thing at all and I fully encourage that approach. Though it needs to be more dark, mysterious, and more scary in all aspects of the game than from what I have played so far from the latest installment. Though I think whatever initial things that need to be improved upon I hope that they iron them out before release. Also it seems that they are ditching the specific experimental approach that was itera...

The first original 3 silent hill games were the pinnacle of the series, how can you have not included the first original silent hill game that started it all? The first one might not have been the best looking(due to the ps1's capabilities, and even then it looked good considering that it was a free roaming game in which there were not many like it back then). I also thought origins and homecoming we're not bad either. I have not finished shattered memories yet but will get to it soo...
