It’s getting better results then the $2k PC I built in fall 2014, pretty damn impressive and totally awesome because I much prefer the console environment for gaming, and using a giant 4K hdr screen with a controller on my couch. Sitting at attention in front of a standard sized monitor at my computer desk using keyboard and mouse frankly sucks in comparison. My PC gaming days are numbered.
Someone needs to build a PC to match Gears 4k30 mode and let us know what the bill is...

PS3 was a total flop. Do people not remember it sold like less than half as many than the PS2?
The massive amount more power and 4K disc player well offset the $100 price difference. You'll also have access to the vastly faster and better online service.
IMO last gen went on far too long. It should have been 2-3 years shorter with PS4 and XBO releasing back in 2010 or so

Most Sony exclusives are the same 3rd person action game. And with many “exclusives” making it to PC via PSNow that argument weakens regularly.
It’s a future proof console, if people don’t have 4K I don’t know that I would recommend it but I would if you’re planning on getting it. Some 4K is down to $350 for large screens so it won’t be long until it is very common.
Every one of Sony’s exclusives is a 3rd person action game. No thanks, I’ll take the power of XBOX. With many exclusives showing up on PC I’m positive it’s in Microsoft’s plans to make PC gaming come to XBOX as a successful vision of the Steambox.
That’s insane, guess it does include a few hours of HD video though. Gonna have to reinstall it to check out the graphics. While it looked soft on the XBO, it was clear it’s one of the best looking games of the generation, so the resolution bump is gonna really take this game to the next level
Considering how the two companies increased in power for the mid gen, we’ll see a PS5 running at 8-9TF, and the XBOX successor around 24TF. PS5 will directly compete with the Xbox One X and that New Xbox will be in a league of its own

The massive power difference between the Pro and the XBOX is really going to show moving forward. The 12 gigs of RAM was a very wise decision and it’s going to pay off.

No reason to, single player games are weak. Games with tons of constantly updated content is where it is at and Microsoft dominates that. Now with the most powerful console ever we are going to see premium gaming experiences on console, years ahead of the 4K curb
It’s already outsold it’s competition the PS4 Pro this year and it isn’t even out yet lol, that’s a success on its own. It’s also succeeded in its goal of being the most powerful console ever, it is massively more powerful then its closest competitor. #MAGA
