Very true with the Shovel Knight idea but tbh Squids is surprisingly reallllllly fun. Sadly I have the Wii U version, but would happily play a 3DS version when this feature is added in reverse.
Read the article... Nintendo are working on Wii U to 3DS cross-buy.. could be they want the system filly operational before announcing it, unlike others who announced half-baked features.
and with the Virtual Console it makes a lot more sense on Nintendo's part. I'm positive this is down to feedback from gamers, they've been listening a lot these past 5 years or so.

Oooh, saw this yesterday, scanned for Nintendo platforms. Noticed there weren't any so left... I'm now going to go and back this :D
I'm kinda hoping they give us plenty of Nintendo's own characters and don't saturate the range with Pokemon.
I don't see why anyone would want to make a game like this up? Hardly anything to get excited about. Rumors generally circulate about Zeldas/Metroids/Starfoxs etc

Dan is a very very busy man, but has always been a pleasure to work with. He's very enthusiastic about his role, and will always go out of his way to help developers.
yeah, i dont have a set figure in my mind and was mainly positive exageration, but there are an insane amount of indie games coming. Coupled with the fact the only third party game ill be buying this year is watchdogs, and only first party games i will be buying are mk8, smash, bayonetta 2, hyrule warriors and x.
I'm also fortunate enough to work on Nintendo Enthusiast and have a lot of indie developer friends, as well as numerous games ive already backed on KS and Indiegogo over...
Instantly among my top 3 indie games coming to Wii U. I do however plan on buying at least 100 over the next year!
The developer is also considering a Wii U version which I would buy, day one.
Sadly the reason N4G is left to those that way inclined mostly.
I bought it... three times... 1 for me, 1 for my brother and 1 for my boss! It's awesome!
