The only real problems people found with horizon is lip sync issues with some C-grade characters and they scored it appropriately for that. A game with zero lip-sync whatsoever Zelda Breath of the wild will lose zero points because it's a zelda game.... An 88 is more like a 95 on metacritic if it was a 3rd party developer or Nintendo mascot game.

I'm buying both Zelda and Horizon, but everywhere you go where they compare the two it's not even close. It's 90-10 supporting Zelda and trashing Horizon. They talk about Horizon like its a simple side scrolling SNES game compared to a new 3D revolution like Mario 64...

Maybe it gets highly rated because reviewers choose not to be objective towards a Mario game? Mario games aren't for everyone and Ive purchased many Mario games purely on metacritic alone. Each and every time I've gotten burnt because reviewers weren't being objective.

When Nintendo start making proper games like all other publishers have been doing for over 10 years than they will merit a coveted Masterpiece review score. I can't personally give them a perfect score till they have proper motion capture, voice acted animations in their games. Reading in a zelda game or Mario games talking bubble is ridiculous in 2017 and just plain lazy. Plus what we're reading in the first place is just ridiculous garbage. Lol! C'mon!

I wouldn't score any Mario game higher than a 75% personally. They're well polished games, but very simple and repetitive. If any of the media outlets gave the review duties of a Mario game to a RPG, FPS or Driving reviewer they would probably score it in the 60% for lack of content & innovation. You don't always have to invent a new wheel, but at least bring your wheel into the 21st century.

You're right that there's always some type of bias here and there but personally I feel Sony gets critiqued pretty harshly & fairly compared to Nintendo. Look back at all Nintendo exclusive reviews and you can't justify all those high scores for average games. It's that Apple magic Nintendo has that just seeing a Nintendo mascot on a game box (or apple logo) makes reviewers start at an 8 minimum.

Rockstar needs a reassurance that they'll make their money back 10 folds before investing in a switch port. It would definitely be cool and could happen, but before it even has a chance to land a port, the switch needs to sell well over 10 millions units.... I see two reasons why they switched to the Sunday conference instead of their Monday morning spot.
Reason 1 is that they want most of the media coverage on them (even though EA and Bethesda are also on Sunday so it's still crowded) and they want the overnight coverage swing to continue into Monday. I understand they have allot to show and maybe they felt that was the best move.

Wow! That's allot of hate for a little humour... Lol! There's nothing wrong with me posting my personal preference list for past GTA games and acknowledging that it's nice that it's now backwards compatible.... The rest was just humour of me throwing a little shade towards my least favourite gta game (even though I played dozens of hours since gta is probably my all time favourite franchise)
