I feel you. GTA V was good without being fantastic imo - I don't ever remember feeling like it was 95+ metacritic.
I feel like it's just the ideal game for people who either don't love games, or love games where they can do whatever they want to do.
Easy call? BOTW? Lol, personally I was bored and if after 10 hours and haven't come back. I wanted to like it given the 10/10/10/10 review scores....

this game was sooo average. dialogue was so cringe
spectacular? im kinda unimpressed honestly. shooting looks kinda bland, and quests look fairly standard. idk, maybe im just hoping for something bigger but this reminds me of destiny in that it's got a nice world and a nice engine but not much actual substance...hopefully i'll be proven wrong.
I actually didn't mind the live action stuff and quite enjoyed the game - even though I knew it was kinda flawed. I actually looked at all the lore books and read all the tapes i found in the game because i was genuinely interested, i haven't been doing that at all in Vampyr tbh for whatever reason.
I also thought the live action stuff broke up the gameplay nicely, but yeah, average acting I suppose

i had to return this game after finishing the southern part of the game, found it so boring.
that's a nice way to look at it, however, given the price point, i can't really justify purchasing it if it's not going to be used as a primary console haha.
personally, that whole portable thing is a gimmick. I'd hate to play it on a train, for example. for me, gaming is a special thing, that I only do when im fully concentrated / relaxed - but that's just me!
Can't agree more. I actually didn't even enjoy Zelda. Hated the weapon damage system and never felt like I was hooked. I guess I should just play Ocarina of Time again....
Or I could just play God Of War... ;)
