In the US the PS4 only outsold the Xbox One by a few million I think. PS4s are also sold in a ton more regions than Xbox so it should obviously sell more.
Because I could really care less I would like to see MS take some market back this next gen, competition is good for everyone
You can thank journalists for this article. I am sure MS didn't think "hey lets hope people see our trademark and talk about it." So while MS is working on a ton of 1st party titles, journalists like the one who made this article are chasing trademarks...

Sorry my man. The PS5 is not outperforming the XSX. That's like saying an RTX2070 is more powerful than an RTX2080 or 2080 super. Its just not happening no matter how much you overclock.

Yes Sony would build that for no reason. Tell me what happened with the cell processor that was supposed to be the next miracle in tech. No dev knew how to use it nor wanted to. Hence why 360 games were better looking and performing. The SSD Sony put in the PS5 is a very fast SSD. No pc has this yet so that means NO 3rd party dev will take advantage of it. It would not be cost effective to make a totally separate multiplat game to use PS5s SSD which really isn't goi...
If the PS5 clocks run maxed out all the time then the XSX is 18+% more powerful. When the gpu clock on the PS5 downclocks the XSX GPU can be anywhere from 20-30% more powerful. In tech terms that's a LOT of power...

Yeah we'll see. When no 3rd party devs take advantage of the Sony SSD and all 3rd party devs take advantage of the XSX cpu and gpu power you may retract your statement. Just an FYI, all an SSD is going to do is load a game faster. You will not get any better graphics, frames etc etc from an SSD. I have had one for 3yrs and all is does is boot my pc up faster than a regular hard drive. Also XSX has an SSD also. So a PS5 game may load 1.5 seconds faster than the XSX but XSX will do 4k...
@RazzerRedux Dude the GTX1070 is still $499-$599. That GPU is 3yrs old. Y9ou are going to need an RTX2080, maybe even a super to match the XSX. That price is not going down anytime soon. Even by fall 2021. If that were the case the extremely weak GTX1070 would be around $199 but it isn't.
Ok sure you can. But what pc parts are you going to get for $500 that will outperform the XSX? RTX2080(non super) still cost $700+. Not sure of the CPU you have but lets say you go with a Ryzen 3800x, your looking at another $339. So over $1k to upgrade your pc to maybe match the XSX. I haven't even touched the SSD. When you say "admittedly old system" i'm thinking standard hard drive 5400 or 7200 rpm..

Sorry man but what a stupid comment. If you put any one of those base PS4 games on the X1X, I promise you it will look and run better on X1X. You cant compare something a Sony dev does and say the X1X couldn't do it. If God of war or Horizon were on Xbox also, the X1X would have been playing them in native 4k, higher settings and with a 60fps option.
Hmm while I agree with you PS isn't going to have those games out at the PS5 launch. Probably 2022 you may see 1 of those. I too cant wait for all of those games, especially Bloodborne 2. I loved BB1. I have also been a huge Halo fan since OG Xbox and Halo 1. So know Halo Infinite is launching with XSX I am going to get the XSX first.

I agree, it is too early. For one thing, XSX we know has Halo Infinite, Hellblade 2 and Cyberpunk upgraded to use the XSX power. That's definitely enough for me. I will get a PS5 also but PS has always been know to not have good exclusives until 3+yrs into the gen. PS3 & PS4 both had garbage games until 3ish yrs in. Then they both took off!

While I agree PS5 will have exclusives I feel pretty darn sure that XSX will this next gen also. This current gen was the worst gen for Xbox exclusives. Prior to this current gen Xbox has always had great exclusives. So with the acquisition of all those new studios (possibly more) I am not going to forecast that the XSX will not have games.

Lol I always get a kick out of the Forbes articles. Forbes hires such morons.. What we saw from MS the other day where games that are being made for current gen and next gen. Titles like these will not be tailored directly for XSX or PS5. Once the new gen starts and game development focuses strictly on next gen, that's when you are going to see what these consoles can do.
