your basing the general fps after your experience in mw2? there are plenty other great games that do fps justice, hell youd get a better experience from cod4 cause at least they didnt try to go over the top with that game and it was a bit more balanced than mw2
battlefield, l4d, halo, killzone, CS, UT are all much better games to get an experience from and show less flaws than mw2...but each do have their own flaws

if you have a play and charge kit, then all controllers are wired...you either dont like the battery pack sticking out or dont like having to always recharge the batteries...and if its the latter, then i guess the play and charge kit wouldnt help you out
doubt there will be a gow4, but another gow no doubt
and also doubt sony would be dumb enough to do that to the devs...releasing 3 big titles for a launch would certainly divide the sales, especially knowing that launch consoles are hella expensive

i think the ranger set is closest to the ascetic armor from halo 3...and did you guys see the "knife" the elites use in their assassinations? its a mini energy sword coming from their forearm armor piece...pretty badass
