I thought it was normal for current gen games to have a 3 year development cycle. I remember Far Cry 2 and Prince of Persia both being in development for 3 years according to Ubisoft. I believe Fallout 3 also had a 3 year development cycle.
I want to see what a game using 90-100% of the SPUs looks like

Naughty Dog said they used about 30% of the SPUs for Uncharted and that was a Nov 07 title. Killzone 2 uses 60% and its a Feb 09 title. So if Sony's 1st party studios continue to progress at this rate then by mid to late 2010 we should see what the PS3's graphical ceiling is.
