NEAR works whether you pay your 3G bill or not ... just like StreetPass, it still tallies all of your gps locations.
You just have to upload the info to get your "gifts" once you get home to your wifi connection.

The DS/3DS sells bc KIDS play it. Kids don't care about the 2nd analog stick. They don't care about any of the crap that gamers care about ... bc they're KIDS.
I would never game on a 3ds personally or a Wii or any of it. Its not for me. BUT guess what my go to console/handheld is when it comes to buying for my children ... you guessed it ... bc its for KIDS & the games are kid friendly....

I'm glad Vita is getting more games/developers. More games is always a win. Heck, one of these indie developers could make the next AAA title.

I get tired of hearing about these damn memory card complaints.
The reason for the proprietary cards was to prevent hacking/pirating, so it didnt end up like the PSP. I'll gladly pay a higher price if it means having a "safe" console.
