RockNRolla kicked ass, but The Getaway was very obviously trying to ape Richie's style. They even copied some of the more clever dialoge from his movies, it was pretty shameless.
It's weird that they'd set up a bonus system like this, especially considering how intolerant people are of corporate greed these days.
I agree. I think they feel that they have to keep appealing to the niche market that demands the same JRPG mainstays, while there are much bigger and more profitable markets that want something new and better.
