You're not understanding the reason he needed to use a RYZEN Threadripper CPU and that specific motherboard. Its because the extra unutilised cores can be used to boost the I/O to levels beyond what next gen console are capable of, a normal CPU wouldn't have the capacity to do this. Thus no custom I/O decompression block is needed as it's just pure brute force. For a PRICE!

@RazzerRedux
I don't think you're getting it. One time redemption as in you get the free upgrade with the period of time the free upgrade is available, where as Xbox has mandated that if the games has the label Smart Delivery, you will ALWAYS have the that free upgrade whether you choose to by the game on release or 1,2 years down the line or don't choose upgraded to the series X until 2022 or later, the next gen version will be there waiting for you. That has never been ...
@lazyboyblue
Correct, this is exactly it. I don't understand why folks aren't getting this and keep saying it's the same for both, it really isn't until Sony comes out and actually says so.
@deepdishdj
Don't bother with that dude, he's allegiance is to Sony but tries play dumb like it's not obvious that he only has negative or has rebuttals for anyone that leans towards or has a positive outlook on Xbox in any way. Even when you provide facts!, he will then pick parts of your comment, put it in quotes and respond with something out of context from what is actually being said, argues semantics and then throws the word fanboy around like he isn't one of th...
$200 for a 4TB, not for 1TB. These are proprietary drives for a games console, can only be used for the XSX, It will likely come in at $89.99 for 1TB, $149.99 for 2TB and $200 for 4TB
"That isn’t what you said.
You were drawing conclusions with teraflops alone. If you are trying to correct your previous post then great. Don’t pretend you didn’t equate the tech based on teraflops."
My words were quite clear
"The 12 TF RDNA 2 GPU in the Xbox series x means performance on par or most likely better than a 2080 super"
1) I didn't say RDNA 2 would be out for consoles before its released for PC. I didn't even imply it so not sure where your argument is going there. I was implying that the tech will be new and at the same level as PC on release, unlike this generation.
2) Not sure what planet your living on that you can't research all the benchmarks out there that show the rx75xt performs on par with an Rtx2070 Super on almost all modern games. T...
So I guess it's ok to literally act blind to the fact that the Vega 64 is GCN architecture and RX57xt is RDNA 1. The Xbox Series x GPU is RDNA 2, this is AMDs next generation graphics architecture that isn't even available for PC today. The 12 TF RDNA 2 GPU in the Xbox series x means performance on par or most likely better than a 2080 super as devs will be coding to the metal.
🤣 Now I know for sure I'm talking to folks that haven't even played and completed The Outer Worlds and likely not even played NV (beat it twice btw)
I can't take you guys seriously😂
Sorry I know there's opinions an all that but your opinion is just wrong. From someone who loved FNV, I can say that Outworlds is by far the better game in just about every aspect.
