Considering Square's track record in recent years i think they should take a break from FF for a wile remake 7,8,9 because i no they have a huge fanbase and would definitly attract more to the games and franchise as a whole by re-releasing them.

I thought FF7 was one of the best rpgs i have ever played, now to remake it with better visuals defeats the object of it being the greatest game, as a true game is based around story, mechanics, gameplay etc... and graphics just represent the limits of what hardware your running on and the present time (meaning most games that are released are to todays standards of graphical capabilities) so i think they should leave it and do a sequal personally.
