GT5 will be a day one (not pre-ordered) for a ton of people. You have to think about GT5 fans are not crazy gamers that preorder their lives away.
People without jobs or too much time off.
But the deal is good I guess. One year free of Live is pretty good.

This is right. I mean some DLC is worth the cost. But when you think about Tiger Woods. I mean 5.99 for two golf courses? That were in previous versions of the series?
Its getting bad, and its only going to get worse. Soon your going to have to pay for half of the game, and to see the ending you have to pay again.
