what you suggested is correct but a bit complicated for the average joe (no disrespect intended jsynn7)
an easy way to find out would be to access the router you have through the browser interface, click wireless connections and if you see a computer name that isn't supposed to be there, you know
and if that is the case you need to enable WEP or WPA security

in the future you may have no choice, as technology advances and components become smaller and cheaper there maybe little reason to make a dedicated handheld other then price and maybe battery life

well this is the only phone im willing to get a contract for so the more networks that pick it up, the better

PS suite will plug that integration whole and bring quite a few decent games to the table, even taking into account that they will be PS1 games, they are still miles better then what is on offer
