As what I have been seeing in vgchartz (I hope that site is accurate).
However, they (SONY) should not get overconfident.
A lot of 360 owners have been longing to replace their consoles
(I won't mention some of the reasons why coz this might agitate some people).
The new 360 slim looks sleek and solid (even alienware-ish).
According to them RROD proof which is good!
Only issue that has surfaced was the disk scratching thing...
HARDCORE (adj) : Intensely loyal; die-hard
Spending tons of time playing contributes to being considered hardcore.
HOWEVER I think it will be hard to rack up the hours if:
1... game is tiring
...... like if you need to stand for an extended period of time
...... or if you have to extend your arms for an extended period of time
2... game is repetitive
Won't you agree?
It has "predictive input" technology.
Which allows it to detect your moves before you execute it.
Mission Impossible (Movie Part 2 with Tom Cruise)?
EDIT: (Part 2 I mean)
Anyway I hope they do release some for hardcore gamers. I'm just worried about the implementation of run-and-gun games. (Force dash won't work for every game)
OMG!
You scarred me for life.
They brought something new that does not take as much $$$ as 3D.
I loved Sony's too, but Nintendo is my pick.
@ Montrealien 1.5.2
You're pretty much saying that ALL celebs / superstars / famous people going to events ... represents the event?
So were Hideo Kojima and Tomonobu Itagaki in fact promoting Kinect?
They were at the Cirque event w/ pictures too.
(One of them rumored left)
But here's the thing...
Let's take your KB example.
Kevin Butler is a paid spokesman, he is "openly" a paid actor.
Everyone knows this. Everyone knows he is aid by SONY.
We are fully aware of his agenda.
Which is different compared to
An interview that was made to project someone getting impressed.
Now, I'm NOT saying that's the case here with the CELEBS mentioned. <...
I liked it too.
HOWEVER
There's no substitute to playing on your HUGE HDTV and with 5.1 (7.1) sounds.
Like KB said, Gaming is like having a huge TV in a small, one-bedroom apartment.
too bad I only have one kidney left.
(... checking what else to sell ...)
=)
Mike Velarde FTW!
Kinectimals will be.
With animal tickling and licking feedback technology.
^^^^ just to answer soda pops question.
Wii does not have a camera.
Most BIG companies have policies against accepting gifts.
And usually they are there for ethical reasons.
NOTE that E3 is a business environment.
The gamers / writers are your clients
I added another illustration.
SEE 2.1.2
It's like comparing ...
Bill Gates wearing a jet pack (he bought using $$$)
VS
The 90's Michael Jordan
... and saying Bill Gates can jump higher that Michael Jordan.
You can't compare the two since the other one has spent money (or an add-on).
But we really know who can do a slam dunk "sort of out of the box"?
I don't think you can compare the two (PSN, XBL).
Since they follow a different model.
From a consumer's standpoint this is how I see it:
Out of the box ($0)
====================
PS3: Online play (which is #1 prerequisite of an online gamer)
360: None
Subscription ($50)
======================
PS3: <Features here>
360: <Features here>
Look at this th...
Kudo Tsunoda
Everybody loves this guy.
There it is.
shaped like KB's hand
I thought I'd just limit my comment to the hardware since I feel the article was comparing hardware sales.
