I think it really has the best games for everyone from Tweens to Adults. The Xbox was pitched originally at Teens to Adults but Microsoft are slowly destroying that audience with a lack of exclusives, blind faith in Kinect and the awful new Avatar driven frontend for the 360. I'm 31yrs old now and over the last year it's my PS3 that's been fired up 80% of the time.
Cancelled my xbox live subscription 2 months ago after finally getting bored of Forza 3. Unfortunately as an owner of a PS3 aswell there's nothing coming out over the rest of the year on 360 to make me bother taking out a new subscription. I should point out that I'm not a fps fan so as good as Reach will be it's not for me.
If Microsoft were to offer the same kind of incentives that Sony has with + I might think about a new subscription but as it is I'll just...
It's cheaper to buy the bundle than both move controllers on games site so just trade in your existing playstation eye.
Actually that's a gamescom video and as they were only demoing the console versions that more than likely is the 360 version you chump.
From what I've seen in videos this is much more sim like than anything we've had from codies for years. Engine sounds are awesome, this nfs and gt5 means this'll be a racers wet dream this fall!
This'll compliment gt5 nicely as the list of Porsches is awesome, Boxster Spyder and 918, oh yes!
Only thing that's still letting gt5 down is the audio. We've come so far in visuals over the last 10 years but engine sounds in most games are still shockingly unrealistic. And before some xbot jumps in and raves about forza it was just as bad in that, I should know I've put over 200 hours into that game.
I think Polyphony have shot themselves in the foot by always wanting to feature the most cars ever in a game, the logistics of recording 1000 cars engines are ri...
@darkdoom3000 ... Are you the guy responsible for the Drakes Misfortune levels? Those were amazing!!
More jealousy, oh dear ...
I say well done to him! Seriously why are all the kids on this forum having a go at him? You all must be passionate about games else you wouldn't waste your time trolling online games forums!
Most 17yr olds in Britain would site getting wrecked on a Friday night and hurling abuse at people from street corners as their greatest passion so what's wrong with this dude playing a game and earning money from it?!
Some jealousy me thinks ...
Oh my god that'd be so cool!! What are you 7 years old?!!
"may" make goty? It's a forgone conclusion mate! I really need to stop reading every scrap of information on lbp2, November seems so far away right now ...
For a company such as Rare that had such strong characterisation within it's Nintendo days I still can't understand how they came up with such bland avatar designs.
I wish Microsoft would stop chasing nintendos tail with the avatars, just scrap them altogether! When I turn on my wii I don't mind seeing the miis but when I turn on the 360 and see my 30 yr old friends with their avatar on my friends list I feel embarrassed! Much prefer sonys frontend, makes me feel like games are okay for grown men lol!
F1 2010 and GT5 plus LBP2 mean I think I'll wait to pick up NFS until the January sales, I can see it being pretty cheap by then.
Yup agree with that, wii motion plus was a big disappointment to me too the jumpy cursor drives me mad. So far move looks very good, as I don't like shooters I'm hoping something else comes along that proves me wrong because right now I don't see the need for motion controls on any console.
When you've got a ps3 and 360 I find you don't have time for anything other than AAA titles and there haven't been many of those on the wii over the last year. Don't get me wrong, the wii is used 3 times a week in my house, my girlfriend loves wii fit! But as a gamers console it's next to useless without a ps3 or 360 to supplement it.
If you check out the redbull simulator on YouTube you'll notice they don't need head tracking because they have a 180 degree wrap around screen to view. Unfortunately I suspect head tracking in racing games will only ever amount to a tacked on feature that sounds amazing on the back of the box.
Yeah but the difference is that in real life the driver looks left or right in a bend with his eyes keeping his head still! It's counter intuitive to move your head left or right but keeping your eyes straight ahead, try it for yourself! I'll try it in gt5 but I doubt it'll be any real benefit.
Actually I'd argue that lbp is the most mature franchise to emerge on any console this generation. It's a title that can appeal to children, teens and adults and doesn't rely on bad language or violence to reign kids in. It also has a ridiculously diverse community where some of the most famous creators are women, Mrs Spooky Buz, Morgana and Ice Maiden to name a few of the best. I'd liken the broad range of appeal to Pixars Toy Story, and think that shows a maturity that is ra...
