It means every subscription service(and there are too many to count now) is upping their prices and dropping content to keep making record profits. It means there will be a breaking point eventually. It means companies aren’t ever going to understand this because the only thing that matters in late stage capitalism is next quarters profits.

I don’t know all of the details but with the developers behind The Day Before, but wouldn’t what they did be considered fraud? Are there any lawsuits going at them? Because fuck them seriously, I was never interested in the game to begin with but this seems like a cash grab from preorders, and I think the Gollum developers did something similar. Relax. It’s called “constructive criticism”and if we don’t do it then the bullshit trends that have been happening for the past few years will only get worse. I’m talking about Sony first party’s, which are every Sony fans bread and butter and they have had either mixed or flat out terrible messaging. If you haven’t noticed this by now you aren’t paying attention. I’m as stoked for FF7 as anyone, don’t go all fanboy on me now.
Pretty underwhelming I’m not gonna lie. I’ve been frustrated with Sonys “roadmap” or lack thereof for a few years now. They need to step up communication with the community, it’s been crickets for so long and they used to be pretty good at having a better cadence of announcements and releases. I wonder if the 12(!) Gaas really screwed this up… probably.

It didn’t get “snubbed” it’s a solid game, but there are clearly like 10 other GotY contenders ahead of it. It has been an absolutely stacked year and a “pretty good” game like Starfield just doesn’t cut it in regards to its competition.
Hell yes I had a lot of these too. Castlevania lV and Contra lll definitely stand out to me. The future is now lol.
I hear you, but can you even get GTA 5 for $20 unless it’s a sale or something? They have milked every ounce out of that game, and kept the price above $40 for at least 5 years after its launch.
