I wasn't excpecting higher scores but I'm still very disappointed. With Dead Island, they had the basis to make an insanely better game but appearently didn't take the opportunity. That's too bad. I might still enjoy this one, as much as I enjoyed the first flawed one.
Indeed !! Great game !
You have no taste. No offense.
Maybe not, but considering the quality of the game and the popularity of the franchise (and the pretty good response towards the reboot), I understand they could have expected more. Still a good number, though, and it's only been three weeks since the release.
"Most Wanted U is perhaps the most capable version of that sandbox, [...], but in the process it may have removed some of the challenge"
Casualization, in other words.
As far as I'm concerned, my favourite year in gaming is 2003. PoP : The Sands of time, Beyond Good and Evil, Ratchet and Clank : Going Commando, Rayman : Hoodlum Havoc, Silent Hill 3, Worms 3D, Warcraft 3 : The Frozen Throne. Damn, Nostalgia.... That was probably the time I enjoyed video games the most. When the industry was not crowded with TPS, FPS, DRM, micro-transactions and DLCs. It was perfect back then. (Personal opinion here).
That's utterly amazing. The game is still one year away from its release and it already looks spectacular. The music, the art direction, the narration... Indie games are so inspiring it makes me want to cry, seriously.
I don't know if Bioshock will be a massive seller (but I certainly do hope so), but GTA 5 surely will. However, don't forget Naughty Dog and The Last of Us, as well as Beyond Two Souls.
Definitely looks more appealing than AC III to me. I love exotic settings like this !
Homecoming is not a very good Silent Hill, indeed. But second worst horror game (of all time, I assume) ? Hell no ! It's still an enjoyable game with some disturbing moments and an insanely creepy bestiary. I would have put Amy instead.
@Kanzes Still it looks very very fake. But maybe it's just me.
Apologizes to the author if I'm wrong. Perhaps he's indeed simply not good at writing.
@Kanzes. So what ? lol. The presence of a score at the end is enough to get over the fact the author probably didn't even play the game ?
Pretty fake review, actually.
Looks like the author took information from wikipedia and youtube videos and put them all together. You'll learn nothing more about the game, which is really suspicious.
Example :
"Elizabeth is always there watching after you. Also, Elizabeth can create portals to other worlds."
Thorough, isn't it ? ...
Because Sony is not putting any pressure on them to do things they don't want to. It's all about the quality of the games and they know that working with Sony is the guarantee that they will be able to express their creativity without boundaries. A guarantee they may not have with other publishers.
It kinda saddens me to read that because I love his work on video games, but the guy certainly earned his right to use his talent as he pleased. Bringing them to other medias is a cool idea. Writing a book ? I would definitely read it. As for the movie adaptation, as long as he's involved in it, my expectations will remain high. Kojima has never disappointed me so far. He is a true genious.
I was about to say something mean, then I realized you were replying to yourself lol. Anyway, I as far as I'm concerned I don't know anybody disappointed with their Sony platforms either.
That atmosphere... It's just breathtaking honestly. I looks to be one of the most immersive games of all time. And one of the most beautiful as well. The lighting effects in the beginning of the first video are amazing.
They definately know how to design bad-ass characters. This girl looks as cool as The Kid. Can't wait to play that game, Bastion was a marvelous game and this one seems to follow its steps.
The only wrong step from Sony was the PSPGo. Other than that, the Playstation brand has always surpassed any quality standard.
I get your point. BUT, this is Kojima we're talking about. If he is developing a prequel (again), it's because he's sure it can surprise us (again). I trust him and his decisions. Plus, the MGS lore is so huge there's still room for plenty of other stories.
