I never said Xenoblade reminded me of FF XII because of its story. It's more because of the sense of freedom and the wide and open environments.
Then let me warn those who didn't.
The game is supposed to be set in an all-new world, with new characters, so I guess he won't. But I wouldn't surprised if Activi$ion answers the call of fan-service.
Spoilers in the headline of the article so don't click if you haven't watched the 35-minute demo of the game and don't intend to.
It's like assuming that everybody can afford a constant and stable internet connection, which is absolutely not true. And I know what I'm talking about....
I second that. I loved MGS 2 but MGS 3 was just breathtaking from the marvelous opening sequence (that Halo Jump...) to the heartbreaking ending. And The Boss.. I defy anyone to tell me this is not one of the most well-written characters in the history of video games.
"Far Cry 2 was my favourite of the entire series. Landmark game in the open world genre."
Damage control mode ? My dear, that's clearly sarcasm we got here.
When FF XII came out, people complained because it looked like a MMO with the new combat system and the open world. When FF XIII came out, people complained because it was too linear. Morality : People like complaining. (but I do agree with the fact 13 was not memorable at all)
Anyway, FF XII is to me one of the best RPGs of the previous generation. The graphics, the gameplay, the gambits/Licence Board, the huge landscapes, the incredibly fascinating lore. I loved everything ...
Why is a 13 year old boy playing a 18-rated game te begin with ?
Metroid Prime 4 would be my number one choice, I was really expecting to see it on the list. To me it's the finest of Nintendo's first party franchises, along with Zelda.
But they are also the same people who made Sanity's Requiem so you should be happy they're working on a spiritual successor.
I though the Deep Down demo was pretty mindblowing, considering it was actual gameplay. And so was that of Second Son, in my opinion. Both had me get this "Wow" feeling to be honest.
Santa Monica participated in the development of the games.
Phil Fish should stop being that IamthekingofthisworldbecauseIt hinkmygamefezisthemostawesomega meeverandeverybodyshouldlistent owhatIhavetosaybecauseIamsoawes ome kinda guy that he is.
Do we care ?
Technically, the first console of the 6th generation is the Dreamcast.
What a stupid article. It's feeding stupid persons who don't want to play the game and intend to ruin everybody else's experience. Now they just have what they need to do it. What was the author thinking ?
Along with Naughty Dog, Santa Monica is definitely one of the studios that I'm 99.9% sure they won't disappoint with the PS4. Just look at how marvelous GoW III and Ascension are, graphically speaking. And not only did they master the PS3, but they also did the PS2 and the PSP. They will obviously blow us away with the PS4.
"with Disney’s acquisitions of Marvel and Lucasfilm (creator of Star Wars), there will be a huge collection of franchises and characters to choose from"
I certainly do not want any Marvel or Star Wars character to be part of the Kingdom Hearts universe, ever. That would be completely inappropriate and would ruin the magic and poetry of the games. Well, that's my opinion, but I really do hope it's SE's too.
"Really good" doesn't do the game the justice it deserves in my opinion. I don't argue it's not the best of this generation, but it's one of the only games that make the player think that much. And the writing is definately among the best, along with the art direction.
