Rumours does say they delayed NX for adding VR features. And Nintendo does have some expertise in motion control games.
But I frankly do not believe it. I don't think NX will be that powerful that it can run their first party VR games in 90fps or more. It's my opinion based on that nintendo hasn't really give us a sign of a powerful hardware. Yes rumours do say "industry leading chips" in their hardware, but I simply do not believe it would be powerful...

XB1S should be compared to PS4Neo, not PS4.
If we're talking about sheer power? - XB1S has the lead as rumours go. It won't matter that much "IF" XB1S doesn't have its own exclusive games (except VR games), i.e; not running on XB1.
If XB1S turns out to be XB2 with exclusive games, THEN Sony would want to release a PS5 asap. Other than that, I don't see much problem. Feel free to correct me.
(As leaks/speculation go), PS4N has RX 480 with a slower CPU making it 4.1Teraflops. (RX 480 is capable of doing >5 Teraflops)
So if XB1S is releasing in 2017, it can do greater than 5 Teraflops easily with a slightly better CPU (possibly Zen) with the same cost efficient AMD RX 480. No need for comparing it with 650$ Nvidia cards when 230$ AMD cards do the business. Yeah, we can easily see those gains. (Also GTX 980Ti runs at ~5.6 Teraflops )

Well they need to prove themselves again, and even though we would be happy to see another AAA game from them, some low-budget low-risks small games like DEFORMERS probably is the good call right now.
I'm not exactly waiting for a Order1886 sequel in the future, but still would love them to have a crack at another AAA budget game.
When I'm at home in holidays, I noticed that my parents don't notice much when I'm seeing a kissing scene or a sex scene coming on a TV show or a movie...but they really do freak out a bit when they see even kissing when I'm playing a game.
In their minds, and lots of other parents, Gaming will always be a "kids-play-VG" thing. They cant hold their surprise when Games get as realistic as some TV shows which they don't have a problem with. Sham...

While COD:IW has combined preorders of 63,500 only.
This is like a drop of 89%.

I read the other day that mass production of NX's is delayed to Q12017.
So it kinda makes sense that NX will launch in Q42017.
If NX is supposed to launch march2017, (which will get delayed to Oct2017) - I think the DevKits should have been distributed by now. I strongly agree that NX won't have an x86 architecture, and third party support will be non existent.
Microsoft did said the Multiplayer Beta of Crackdown 3 will be coming sometime this year.
I am more interested to know about Recore.
I hope we move on with these Destiny and Division type games.
Maybe I am the minority, but I want a good campaign or story to go by my games. These MMO shooters are very very slim in that area. Destiny lore could have been something great - but Bungie don't even have time to explain why they don't have time to explain.

Well they pushed Cloud Computing agenda pretty hard too at XB1 launch. Maybe I don't know which game has benefited by cloudC in a reasonable way - but I didn't see much from then.
Crackdown 3 by far looks the swan song of this technology. I'm optimistic though. Because as good a thing Azure becomes, more other companies and publishers will start using it in their games as it is open to everybody.
