Seriously doubtful it ever would. For one it's the conventional 2d mario, even if they recreated all the VC titles it would not feel the same. Also, providing the next mario is 3d or 3dland style. 2d fan made mario levels simply cannot compete.
However I hope this will help nintendo to get new Ideas on what to do with the basic 2-d mario formula by seeing what fans do with all the tools.
I'd say Bayonetta 2, devil's third, X and a new fatal frame is a damn good start.

Sony needs to get off their assess and start making some games for their new system. They're lucky they aren't losing sales in america too. There has been nothing worthwhile released since infamous outside of a ps3 hd-er remake of a game slightly over a year old.

Yeah, he's a character who's been around for over 30 years and is nintendo's primary mascot. How many of those games were actually bad? That's the real question. With the exception of phillips cd-i and some of the edutainment games. Meanwhile, all those franchises I mentioned have at least 1 black sheep.
Regardless of how much they use mario, they make sure the games he's in these days are good games. That's honestly all that mat...

That's about 4 more games than can be found on ps4/xboxone that both cannot be found anywhere else and also are not based on zelda or mario. Meanwhile there have been 7 God of war titles since 2005, 7 Call of Duty titles since 2008, 7 halo games since 2001, 6 assassins creed games since 2007. Who's milking their franchises again?

In the meantime author doesn't seem to acknowledge that if you have a PC right now then it's okay to wait a bit to jump on xbox one or ps4 right now. As of now there's very little must buy for. Even titanfall is on PC and right now the only games that really display the upgrade are mostly sports games which really isn't enough for me just yet.

I don't know if they are what they need but they certainly won't hurt... I want that samus, link, kirby, starfox and maybe kid icarus. I know I will at least be buying.
racewise and certainly graphics, MK8 is a clear winner. Battlemode? Doubledash every single time. That's all I've ever wanted online. That battle mode with the MK8 item customization would be heaven.

I'm willing to bet it's one disc. The first game fit on 360 disc just fine. Wii U uses proprietary bluerays so there should be more than enough room for that game AND the first one.If I'm not mistaken all the spare space on the ps3 release made for long load times. Hope that's not the case on Wii U
