It's pretty obvious she has purely damned the game for the story. I will say it is a little silly to search for cutscenes rather then hidden items. However i am not countinbg this game out... under all the hate on the game for what webb deemed sexism she also says the fighting and platforming works well.
It seems if you review this game for it's platforming, gameplay and action then it's a pretty good game. If you review it for it's storyline... and you are a ...
Looks like since people liked dance central then that's all their going to make for kinect outside of things with rails and minigame compilations.
I look forward to Fred Astaire: the experience next.
where's metroid?
it's probably is as sensitive as a wiimote without motion+.
but you have to admit... they're going to sell a million of em'. It comes out just before hockey season starts and is packaged with a hockey stick accessory. If you have ever been to a house where the family loves hockey... then you should understand that this is gonna sell very well.
Yeah but wiimote with motion + would still work just as well for 1:1 motion. The second the camera loses that ball, the move has completely lost it's 1:1 motion detection. So technically the wiimote is still better if you plan on playing wii without being able to see your television.
He is also right that the sensor bar isn't obtrusive compared to what sony and kinect are offering. Those cameras have to scream that they're there with lights and overall hugeness. ...
I can barely tell if this guy actually played the game or not, no screens, video or anything. In fact half this article is him long windingly explaining everything that can be derived from a modest knowledge of disney canon and the opening shown at gamescom.
Then gives a vague idea that maybe he's played the game. Then sh**s all over it because it's on wii... doubt i'm ever gonna add this site to my rss.
Explain to me how exactly pointer control on wii is limited compared to move... they're pretty much the same damn idea. Only the camera is in the wiimote and not on the tv.
Maybe now we can get some core gamers back on board.
It's borderline incomprehensible gibberish, but from what i can tell... there is no new info in this article... bummer.
Those games look a whole world better then the most graphically impressive moments of either Gears or Killzone 2. If anything consoles trying to do pc level fps games have kind of hurt pc gaming. Since they have to dumb down the graphics so the hd systems can take it.
It's why crysis is incredible looking and would never look that good on either 360 or ps3. It will never be on those systems for just that reason.
I mean if you really want to know how consoles will change just keep your eyes on PC gaming. It always leads the way in graphics and tech.
cutting the original to 100 bucks would sure get the last folks who don't own a wii buying it. I think every year the biggest challenge is getting the consoles into homes when most homes already have a wii. If nintendo wants to still kill like they have every year... perhaps the wii console should be packaged with something to pick up those people who perhaps sold their wii in 2008 because they seemed to think it would never get anything worthwhile.
Maybe Galaxy 2 package...
But that's secondary to how the only news you need to hear about Kinect and Move right now is that... THEIR NOT OUT YET! You really cannot compare any of these supposed innovations without playing the titles available for each one. Going by previews and price produces no straight answers, so stop approving these kinds of comparison articles until these friggin gimmicks actually hit the market and shockingly will be able to be tested out in home use side by side.
Till then...
But that's secondary to how appauled i am at reading this article. Nothing but spelling errors and it's more like he's summarizing then actually writing an article. He comes across as ill informed and unwilling to commit to anything leaving the article with not much of a point. Besides, what is the point of these comparison articles on the hd consoles getting motion?
here's the only news you need to hear about them right now... THEIR NOT OUT YET! You really ca...
finally a way to diminish the effect of accounts created for the purpose of malicious voting.
Wii has really had quite the killer lineup this year, something awesome just about every month.
MH3 is way better, also maybe at least pokemon.
So they can just fail and we can move on with our lives.
Who the hell will care about HD motion when they are about to get 3d video gaming on the go with gamecube level graphics. You'd be stupid not to get excited.
