They are the same people who to this day don't realise that the PS2 was the weakest system of the last generation in hardware. In fact many parellels can be drawn between the popularity of wii and the popularity of ps2.
sounds like an excuse to be lazy on reflex. Not too surprising from infinity ward. They are notorious for coming up with excuses for half assed work. All I know is I seem to remember alot of cinematic experiences last gen done on ps2 which was the weakest hardware of the last generation. It's called being creative, try it for a change infinity ward. Maybe work a little harder on a cgi sequence if you need your precious Cinematic feel so badly.

Pehaps these are the first signs of an improved online component to the wii. Something sorely lacking. In the meantime, any updates to how the wii works makes me happy. Hell I am so easily amused that the smoothness of the video in nintendo week gets me every time. I just go... my god.. it's streaming at dvd quality. THEY NEED TO DO MORE WITH THIS!

Another PS3 biased moron thinks wii exclusives will sell better when ported to the PS3 copycat peripheral. Well I'm not too worried, all of PS3's exclusives are going to sell great on Wii2 after Sony goes bankrupt from poor decision making. Just like Sega.
It's freaking japan. My guess is they might win in hardware sales but software sales... they should keep dreaming. If sony beats wii this year then we all know it's for no other reason then everyone in japan has a wii now. Meanwhile Life to date in japan would probably make sony kids wince.

I noticed that too when I watched nintendo week. I said... "World 9?!?! mario games always seem to stop at 8. Odd" Never thought it would play into secret bosses. Though i'm guessing this title is filled to the brim with secrets. Wouldn't be a Mario title without them.
This brings up a good topic... where is my animales des muertes already. HVS has been teasing that title for an eternity now. But let's do the math. 300,000 X $50 = 15 million dollars in sales. Not too bad sounding to me. Remember, it's a new IP. Not many games companies get high expectations on those titles. Not to mention development costs are much lower on wii. Making it perfect for new ips and new ideas.

New HD console or not. I am always open to new Nintendo consoles. If it has the rumored blueray support and 1080p outputs at a fair price then all the better. Hell, they might even finally get online right. I like my wii but if nintendo does release an Wiihd/2 by then end of 2010 then that means that I can get that and comfortably start enjoying the joys of homebrew on my old wii.
I'm going to really enjoy watching this come to market. The whining will be shrill but hopefully so called "core" gamers will be swayed to buy this title. Or they can just miss out on an another incredible title that is 10 dollars cheaper then an HD title.

An update to the interface is well overdue. When I first purchased the wii the concept that nintendo could update and alter the interface throughout the life of the system was one of the biggest selling points. Unfortunately the wii has ended up showing me that nintendo is almost unsure what to do with this option.
