That's not entirely true. I and others I've seen didn't give two fks or didn't panic. Most people i seen acting wild was the Xbox crowd. There were a handful of ps gamers though.

Naw I didn't know that. I just seen it and bought it one day for a couple bucks. Still never even opened it. We were well into ps4 Gen when I found it.
Walmart depends on which one you go to. Walmart near my house(just outside the little more dangerous neighborhoods) they lack its never filled, alot of double triple rows.
2 other Walmart around my city(better neighborhoods) are stocked pretty damn deep. Aside for Xbox which has dwindled.
It's almost never the case. Especially more so after a month or two. I bought Alan wake remaster for ps5 for 1049 off Amazon. It's never been below 12 bucks digital. So many other games are often way cheaper on disc. That's some bs their pushing and it's annoying because that's what people see it's assh articles like this.
It might be the case for rare physical releases sure but those aren't majority at all.
I plan on checking this out once and if the physical copy gets down to about 25 30. Think it's going for 40. Seems interesting to me. The comparison is easy, but grounded was the first series game I played when I got my series x. I liked it, didn't play long. Was kinda bouncing around.

Why though it's a Nintendo first party game. Nostalgia alone would make it a top seller. Then all the parents buying it for their kids like look kids this is what we grew up with, etc.
Because it's a big name title from a big studio. What else released. Legend of school steel 3 and 4 for ps5. While legend of heroes is my cup of tea it was never gonna outsell skull and bones. Shame though. They put their hearts into legend of heroes games.
