Alot of times with ff they were never fully open world until a certain point in the game. Even then some areas were still restricted.

if you actually look into it youll see that ms has just as many 3rd party deals as sony yall just tripping cause sonys are usually bigger. I have tried lake. According to their site they did that. I played it on gamepass I think. Was interesting and different. Something I'd go back to when I want to extremely chill not a hard-core session.
I'll be honest I I had to choose ff16 over starfield I'm picking starfield. Ff has long changed what I loved about them. I haven't truly enjoyed a ff game since 10 and maybe ff7 remake but I've had a love hate relationship with it due to the battle system. That's just me though. Maybe ill enjoy ff16. Time will tell
With that said I don't buy ps consoles for ff it's the variety and exclusives.
