Alot of the titles on that list are mediocre at best.
SCEA 1st party.
Motorstorm - mediocre racing gameplay, zero features(possibly corrected when hits the states) and single-player?...what's that about.
Heavenly Sword - either gonna be really good...or really bad. Its pretty...but its gameplay is looking like Dynasty Warriors meets God of War could be good in theory..but how is it really?
Killzone 2 - The first one was boring...is a graphical overhaul...
Less then 1 week ago...sony just stated they shipped 1million consoles in U.S. Yesterday I believe they announce that they just shipped 1 million PS3's in japan 2weeks behind schedule. 1+1=2 last I heard. This "story" is way off. Not to mention the article from a few days ago 50% of retailers holding PS3 stock not to mention the NPD official sales numbers all contradict this article. I'm gonna say BOGUS when it comes to this article.
Correct me if I'm wrong didn't Ken Kutaragi and Stringer both make these same statements during the launch of this console? The PS3 will probably max out at about 75%-80% of its "potential" so technically that 20%-25% number should be higher. Most Consoles max out at that number. Old article....same old song they been singing. Put up or shut up.

Msoft never said that they sold 10million consoles before Wii and PS3 launched. They said the sold 10.4 million consoles before the end of 2006. Suddenly the vgcharts.org link that people have been posting in other news stories seems a little off. As Msoft has confirmed 10.4 million instead of the mere...8.4 that vgchart reports. I'm very interested in actual sales numbers for Wii and PS3. I'm sure christmas was kind to all 3 console makers.

The same goes with the PS3 number, that's the number of consoles sold to gamers from retail outlets. It looks like alot of people here seem to be confused about the difference between 1st party games and 3rd party games. Sony Games = 1st part, such as Socom (Guerilla games was purchased by sony), God of War (SCE made that one..or at least subcontracted to someone and published it), Resistance: Fall of Man (Sony owns insomniac if I am not mistaken)etc. Games made by or published by Sony are sony games. please...think about this for a second. This is a PS2 game with a facelift. Hardly a Killer App for PS3. They are wasting time and desperately trying to increase sales with this port. Here's a thought...instead of waisting time with GTHD, why not make GT5? Same game...a new coat of paint....sorry I'll pass. Not a killer app by any means. I'll wait for MGS4 or DMC4.

I agree with some of the things in your post. as far as RFOM and GEARS go...both games do have areas where they outshine each other. RFOM has a more cohesive story and 40player online multiplayer (that's so sick!!!). Gears is by far the most graphically impressive title on any console to date and its gameplay is just as amazing as the visuals. Honestly...I'm still having a hard time seeing the real advantages of Blu-ray based games. Lets put this into perspective. Resistance is a good game I believe someone said it uses 16gb of a blu-ray disc. If its a 25gb disc (I can't remember if blu-ray is 25gb and 50gb or 30gb and 50gb)...that's 40% of the disc wasted. I love the Devil May Cry franchise..I really do..it's the reason I bought a PS2 in the first place. I'm a huge fan of the serious and I can't wait for the anime to be released.
