Harry Potter is an amazing shout! A Transformers RPG would have awesome potential, in similar line of that could possibly do Pacific Rim? Work your way up to upgrade your mech and fight gradually harder Kaiju across the world, etc.
So many potential franchises that could get the RPG treatment, but would require massive work to satisfy and meet expectations.
I respect that people can like and love Destiny, but personally for myself it just doesn't float my boat. It was great fun playing the Public beta, and a solidly built game (from the small amount of the beta I got to try), but hearing story after story and gamers comments of expensive DLC, poor story, and poorly implemented MMO mechanics - grinding for upgrades and such - etc, it just seems like a step-down from Bungie's previous work.
EDIT: Forgot about the repetiti...
In the words of Thor, "Another!" Entertaining stuff :)
As awesome as VR gaming can potentially be - like Phil Spencer recently said - I hope it doesn't become the 'lead form' of gaming per-se or it could kill the social aspect of gaming. In my opinion nothing will compare to having a few mates over with some takeaway food and competitive games! Such a laugh!
Like PixelPatch said it should be something to accompany gaming, not become the heart of it all. That'll be decided by the cost of it all though ultimately ...
Don't people sing to snails anyway? They can't get away quick enough, no matter how bad someones singing is!
Brute Force, Armed And Dangerous, Croc, Blinx? Too many games that could be on this list unfortunately. All brilliant and fun games. Would love remasters or sequels to them personally. Even if just to use a shark gun again in HD!
EDIT: Also Sunset Overdrive seems to have gone quiet quite quickly..
Sometimes it's good to be bad! Though I must be terrible having done all of these things, such a good (and true) list! :'D
Fingers crossed for a sequel! Bit of a sleeper hit this one, but a solid game :)
Just much more mystery and a sense of true sci-fi adventure, possibly more akin to No Mans Sky, finding new and unique environments, creatures, characters, and missions etc. Also would be nice if they actually meet their 'in-engine' trailer footage, but I won't hold out for that as a 'must have' criteria!
Defo one of many games on my personal 'to watch' list!
I hope video game covers last, you can get some beautifully designed ones, even fan made pieces (such as the MGS5 Hideo Kojima VHS cover recently released).
Hmm couple of fan favourites already passed on this list (and the previous part), wonder who's made the top bunch!
They say you learn something new everyday. Definitely am with these pieces! Keep it up! :D
Awh darn :/ Good read, but unfortunate to hear of the monotonous gameplay.
I've reached that point where I've got too many games for the hours in the day I have spare, and the to-play list isn't getting any shorter! So I've barely any time to play the games I want to, let alone try the ones I'm not too fussed with! D:
South Park is my personal number 1 all the way! Captured the style, humour, and the general show in its entirety pretty much perfectly. Just needed to be longer considering it was an RPG.
Can't wait for 'The Fractured But Whole'.. hehe
Looking forward to the next one! :D Good read, and easy to understand.
Same games it can ruin, some games RNG can actually make it more exciting to watch!
Though "main" eSports games should really be based on player skill foremost.
Overpowered battles in fighting games. I remember some blue copycat character in Dead Or Alive 4 (final boss maybe?) that was just the definition of annoying and overpowered for my younger self at the time!
Also anything Dark Souls related. Though so very very rewarding once you've beaten it. A stressful and challenging video game done right.
Can't wait to see a Microsoft console designed and built with Phil Spencer at the helm (should there be an 9th-gen), the xbox One would've been so different with him heading it from the start, but he's doing well to turn it around for the company!
What a world! :O
