8.8/10 for sound. erm, 7.1 surround sound dude, the sounds amazing, why 8.8? also, only 9.3 for graphics :P soz im probs being really picky but, isnt a higher mark for these categories more appropriate for kz2?
does anyone know the benefits of this, performance wise, in comparison to AA? would this be costly (graphics card wise) to do?

its really quite amazing though, kept me hooked for about 4 days, really like it, might be GOTY (so far) but not best ps3 game. Since its a single payer only game, you could compare it to uncharted in those terms, however I find uncharted to be a more satisfying experience. Also when you factor into the equation both MGS4 and killzone 2 and numerous other titles i doubt itll be best ps3 game, that titles best left for GOW3/Uncharted 2 ;)

why the KZ2 bashing, how was that provoked by me? you replyed to my comment with that so was that to me or guy below? in any case KZ2's controls were excellent, better than 99% of shooters IMO because it was more realistic and therefore more immersive for me. So yeah, KZ2 controls=brilliant IMO :)
looks really good :) few minor niggles about the screenshots but thatd just be pickyto highlight them, looks awesome! Only concern I have is with the framerate. The trailer this came from showed it to slow down quite a bit sometimes, hopefully and probably will be ironed out by release. BTW does anyone know what engine their using? I hope its not the same as last time, got really fed up with the Huge loading sequences, texture popin slowdown and screentearing
i just noticed from the screenshots u posted, these actually might not be tampered with at all! I mean most companies will touch up their pictures slightly before releasing to the public (the level that EPIC did was just funny xD) but these actually look like theres nothing suspicious going on here. Look at how the shadows of the woman player have the very slightest jagged edge on them, as well as the sign in the distance -

yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yet is this game not obviously a technical achievement? The textures effects and lighting are better than any of the games you mentioned, almost surpassing that of KZ2. Also, beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, yet detail is not, its obvious, and this is why UC2 blows away most of its competition (well all of it on rival consoles, still not sure about KZ2)

Just watched the mp4 720p footage from gamersyde and Im VERY effin impressed, this game is the dogs bollocks. Few things i noticed, firstly theres like, almost 0 aliasing, looks so smooth! Secondly, despite some slight inconsistencies (rubble on floor) the level of detail on EVERYTHING is amazing. Also theres not one instance of slow down in fpsor screen tearing, looks about 40-60 fps :D however drake isnt reflected in the water but omg everything else is amazibg, theyv even introduced a scop...

Iv been more impressed with my PS3 for a while now than my 360. Not knocking the 360 at all its been my most used gaming platform at a point in time, but after gears and halo I really got into games like WipeoutHD, Metal Gear Solid 4, some resistance, GT5 prologue, killzone 2 ..... and theres so much on the horizon, it really is good to be a gamer at the moment :)
