alan wake and Metro 2033 are far from the graphical heavyweights of this generation xD. That would be crysis, killzone 2, unccharted 2, heavy rain and god of war 3. All of those games look better than what weve seen of alan wake or (even) the pc version of metro 2033. A 7 for GOW3's graphics just goes to show how much of an idiotic fanboy you are. GTFO troll.

the replays are still in 1080p, just like the rest of the game, there is no resolution drop for replays. However 4xMSAA is added for replays (@ 720p) whereas gaming @ 720p gets you 2xMSAA. You may be gettingg confused with the fact that GT5P runs at 1280*1080 and not full HD (1920*1080) however the resolution has been upped to full hD in GT5. I have a laptop that's at least 4-5x as powerful as te ps3 in raw power output and yet the only game on it that looks better overall than GOW3, UC2, Heavy Rain, KZ2 or GT5 is crysis (IMHO gt5 looks quite a lot better but thats not fair because it's a racing game, not nearly as open world) PC devs should at least TRY and optimise. The native res. of the game and indeed all the demo builds shown of late have been confirmed to be running at full 1920*1080
Plus I hope they use MLAA for this game, since theyre using 4xMSAA@ 720p for this game, MLAA could really give them a lot more headroom to do things

yes more than 8 cars and, theres reason to believe, it'll be up to 20 cars at once. Track editor, day/weather cycles, up to 20 megapixel stills (so far weve seen between 8 and 18 megapixel shots) full HD youtube exporting, around 1000 vehicles, real time damage for racing cars and predetermined damage for licensed cars.

however I dont agree with the score for the graphics, a little too high IMHO. Extremely muddy textures here and there, lack of geometry/ decent particle effects (in most places, somee are pretty good) characters are the best looking part of the game, however even they only look "reasonably" good.
A 10 for gameplay is a bit silly too. The game was, although relatively cinematic, quite banale and repetetive.

you can shut up now you idiot. Youre wrong so just face it. KZ2 (in these shots) looks better than these "ps3 version" screenshots (bullshots captured at 3048 x 2000 something resolution, eliminating any jaggies at all. Its not like Crytek will be as smart as the GOW3 devs and use MLAA in the ps3 version of crysis 2, its against their nature to optimise a game at all)

The ps3 has 512mb of shared ram. 256MB of which is XDR ram @ 3.2ghz which is 4 times as fast aas the 360s ram.In addition the cell is FAR better than the 360s cpu. Good at rendering too. Youve gotten confused a bit too, one spu carries out MLAA in 20ms, true, but all of them do it in 4ms, not the rsx foo

Controls make the game what it is. Camera feels good, best voice acting I've seen in videogames for quite a while. Never came across a single glitch and neither have any of my friends who play it ( 11 of them) Maybe this game just wasnt for you enemycrab.
Butterfingers you shouldnt even be here, fanboy. Worth $60 more than any other game this year IMHO.

Natal=eyetoy.
PS wand is far more accurate than the wii's motion control. In addition Natal is far more accurate than an eyetoy.

Too bad natal will take up 30% of the 360's already insuffiicient processor resources whereas the arc should theoretically make little significant difference at all to the performance of the ps3 (partly due to its 3.2ghz xdr ram and spus which will be calculating and transferring the tracking data)

How does morphological anti aliasing detract from realism in the saboteur? It makes GOW3 look flawless-er xD 16-32xAA that is unreachable on even my gtx 295 ftw :) I have to say that it looks better than anything my pc can achieve, this is coming from someone who is able to run crysis @ 1080p, 2xAA & highest quality tweak at a comfy 45fps. Much more impressive than crysis/ warhead especially considering the scale of this game.

Im talking about the higher resolution texture maps on the ps3 version of FFXIII which, as I said before, is illustrated clearly in the screenshot comparison between both ports of the game. Shame FFXIII doesnt use MLAA (on the ps3 version of course, the 360 version needs it most, but this is impossible to implement on 360)

the algorithm really is amazing. Its comparable to 64xAA on some surfaces, however overall it is of a quality varying betweeen 16 sample AA and 32 sample AA. GT5 uses 4xAA in 720p and theyre still quite noticable, but 16xAA+ at 1080p would look flawless, plus it would leave hheadroom for more detailed textures and effects. If polyphony digital dont take advantage of this they're idiots. No doubt they will though :)
